I got an email about this from Amazon. I'm copying the info here in case someone else has one of these monitors. The rechargeable batteries in the handheld monitor might overheat and explode. It says to remove the battery and contact the company for a replacement battery and use the power cord/stand for the monitor in the mean time.
Also, be sure to check the numbers on your battery even if the date you bought yours isn't when their date range is. Mine was bought outside the date range but is still recalled.
