  • I want to post a pic but we've been on a hiatus. Wah!

Our LO has oral thrush. We stopped using them as a preventative measure just in case she developed a yeast rash. So far she's been fine. So you think it's safe to use our CDs again?

Andplusalso I ordered 3 flips covers and a dozen prefolds today. I've never used prefolds so it should be fun!

  • I don't have a pic right now but I want to suggest we all say what kind of diaper our babes are wearing in the pics! I know I'm always curious what other people are using.
Mom to 5 wonderful kids: 18ds, 15ds, 13ds, 11dd and baby boy! Why get old when you can get pregnant?

  • @theluckiest9 I actually prefer the prefolds.  They are really easy to get the hang of with a snappy.  I would use them exclusively, but DH can't figure them out and would prefer pockets (and I sure don't want to discourage him from changing diapers!).

  • I'm excited to try them out! They seem like they'd be a bit more trim than our pockets and DEF the AIOs. We got a couple snappis too bc they looked like the easiest way to go. The covers are aplix, which I'm hoping don't wear out too quickly, but I thought why not diversify? All our other diapers are snaps. the disposable-like fit will be nice.

Everyone seems to like prefolds so I'm really looking forward to trying something different.

  • @theluckiest9‌ I'm totally a prefold convert. I love them so much more than the pockets I used with DS1. I think I'm going to sell all my OS pockets and exclusively use prefolds this time. They are so much easier to launder with a FL washer too. I even like the cheap pull-on covers best.

So ladies who use prefolds - what is your fav way to fold them?? Trifolding seems easy but I also like the folds that make the prefold fit like a diaper.

Thoughts? Our baby is almost 12 lbs.

ETA: she's not a frequent pooper. Once every other day is usually what we get.

  • I trifold and jelly roll mostly and fasten with a snappi. Haven't had any of his poo escape yet!
  • My favorite folds are bikini twist and my own version of an angel wing fold.

My prefolds can't snappi anymore. I could trifold but I'm afraid that it won't hold in her poop. She only goes every few days so they're huge when it happens. Anyone have luck with trifolding and big poops? I'd like to keep using them but I don't want poop everywhere!

We trifold and haven't had problems with big poops leaking out of the cover.  Sometimes the cover needs a good washing, but never the clothes.  :-)
  • Eli in a thirties size 1 pocket. I am still trying to decide which types are my favorites. DH definitely prefers aplix pockets/AIO because they are most like disposable.image

I think thirsties are winning as my favorite. I like aplix for use better but hate washing because the laundry tans don't always stay down so I tend to buy snaps. Husband likes the snaps

  • Ok let's see if this image inserts. This is Emma this morning in a BG 4.0. There hasn't been any sign of yeast rash so hopefully we're ok!
