Probably a dumb question...

But I'll ask anyway! We are on a break this cycle, no treatment or monitoring. To my knowledge I don't ovulate on my own. Today is CD 10 and yesterday and this morning I have had tons of EWCM. Do you normally produce EWCM if you don't ovulate?

UPDATE! So I had another positive opk this morning and called the RE.  The nurse had me come in for an ultrasound and I have a 17mm in my right ovary!!!!!  Which is the good side!!!!  I am so ecstatic that I actually ovulated on my own that I cried in the car on the way home.  So we are going to continue to BD and pray!  Even if nothing happens with this cycle I am just happy that I finally ovulated on my own.

Round #1 Clomid 50 mg 8/2013= BFN

Round#2 Clomid 50 mg 9/2013=BFN

First appointment with RE 9/27/2013

HSG showed left tube completely blocked, diagnosed with hypothyroid and began 50 mcg Synthroid, Vitamin D level low and began 2000 iu Vitamin D, Hubby's SA showed "super sperm" according to RE

Round#3 Clomid 50 mg + Ovidrel trigger 10/2013= BFN

Round #4 Clomid 50 mg + Ovidrel trigger 11/2013=BFN

Round #5 Clomid 50 mg (no trigger, on vacation) 12/2012= BFN

Round #1 Femara 2.5 mg, no trigger, IUI cancelled due to early ovulation 1/2014= BFN

1/25/2014= BENCHED for the first time (two leftover follies on the right)

2/7/14 Diagnosed with MTHFR/Benched

4/2014 Round #2 Femara 5mg, IUI #1=BFN

4/28/14 positive opk with no treatment while on break, confirmed with ultrasound= BFN

5/16/14 5mg Femara + trigger + TI=  BFN

6/2014 5mg Femara + trigger + TI= BFN

Awaiting IVF consultation appointment on 7/29/2014

8/8/14 Began BCP's to prep for IVF

9/16/14 Began Lupron injections

9/25/14 Began stimming for IVF #1 with Menopur and Bravelle

10/8/14 10 eggs retrieved

10/13/14 2 embryos transferred

10/21/14 BFP!!!

11/24/14 confirmed that baby stopped growing at 6 weeks, d&c scheduled

    I always had lots of CM before TTC (I don't normally ovulate either) but honestly at that time I didn't know there was a difference and never paid attention. Do you have any OPKs? I'd POAS so fast!

    I'm with at @calindi on this. I don't ovulate on my own and I used to always think that I was ovulating by my CM, but it happens all different times in my cycle and it's not an indication of actual ovulation for me.
    10/2013 - Initial consult. Started levothyroxine - tsh 2.92
    HSG- showed graying in one spot/Saline Sono- showed 5mm polyp
    DH SA -  abnormal -  36%motility on both SA's (count and morph ok on SA1, a little off SA2)
    1/10/14 - Hysteroscopy to remove 5mm polyp
    1/12/14- Medicated Cycle 1: 50mg Clomid + Ovidrel + TI = BFN
    2/15/14 - Medicated Cycle 2: 100mg Clomid + Ovidrel + TI = BFN
    3/18/14 - IUI Cycle 1: 150mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI = BFN
    Upped Levothyroxine to 50mg - tested at 2.62
    4/17/14 - IUI Cycle 2: 150mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI = BFN
    Break!
    6/21/14: IUI Cycle 3: 150mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI

    Agreed.  My hormones, along with CM, vary a LOT - especially when not medicated.  Stick by the OPKs.

    09/2012: Start TTC after stopping NuvaRing.  No cycles seemed to occur.
    01/2013 - 05/2013: Tried Provera to "jumpstart" cycles. No luck.

    Another vote for an opk--my cm was always kinda random. Get over to the pharmacy so you can start bd-ing!! :)

    IVF#1 CD1 came before beta. BFN. No frosties.
    Benched with cysts...
    IVF#2 beta moved up due to heavy bleeding 6dp5dt...beta was 11. beta#2 20.4! Beta#3 28 Chemical pregnancy :(
    Currently on BCPs with cysts, planning IVF#3 Everyone welcome!

    Thanks ladies, I will pee on a stick! I don't temp (I work midnights so it's just not possible. The cycle that I attempted to temp was a disaster). I'm hoping and praying that I am about to ovulate and I can chalk up being anovulatory secondary to hypothyroid, which is now under control. My last TSH was 1.6 The last few cycles I had horrible O cramps so I will definitely know if it happens. I'll keep you all posted!!

    Yes I would definitely get an opk. I usually have some type of CM throughout my cycle...during some cycles I even get EWCM after ovulation...so confusing.
    Me: +35 DH: +35
    TTC: Since January 2013 
    DX: PCOS. Severe Endometriosis, Unicornuate Uterus w/only left tube and left ovary, Pedunculated fibroid (on the outside of uterus) and Anovulation. All conditions diagnosed 8/13
    TX: Metformin
    DH DX: MFI - low morphology, low motility
    Ultrasound shows both kidneys in spite of UU. 
    HSG showed clear tube on the left side. 
    Lap Surgery performed 1/9/14 to remove fibroid and endo (Stage 3)
    • IUI# 1 June 2014 started 100 mg of Clomid - 7dpiui Progesterone: 13: BFN
    • IUI#2  July 2014 started 100 mg of Clomid - 7dpiui Progesterone: 5.75: BFN
    • Natural Cycle - so shocked to be in 2WW - 7dpo Progesterone: 15.5: BFN
    • Working with new RE starting injectables in late August.
    • IUI #3 August 2014  w/ Menopur: BFN
    • Finally ovulating on my own!!
    Waiting to start IVF hopefully

    I always make note of my cm, and I've only had it during treatment cycles that have confirmed ovulation. And it always shows up CD 9/10. IF is such a mindf**k!

    Update: so I've been peeing on Wondfos since yesterday and they have all been negative. Just took one and it looks positive (I've never gotten anything but stark white so I'm pretty happy to at least see two lines). So I guess we will BD just in case and I'm going to call the RE tomorrow and see if they will draw a progesterone level on CD 21.

    Thanks for your support ladies, I am glad I was aware of my body and symptoms enough to notice the changes.  I did think it was funny at the RE when the ultrasound tech asked me if I knew what CD I was on.  I said of course I did and she was like well you aren't in a treatment cycle so I wasn't sure.  Trust me even when we are on breaks, I am very aware of what CD it is.  #IFmakesyoucrazy
