10 Things I'm Thankful For

It's not Happy Post Wednesday, it's not 10 Things Tuesday, and it's not Thanksgiving but when isn't it a good time to count your blessings? Having a new baby is rough, am I right? We're all going through a lot. That's why I think it'd be nice to say ten things we're thankful for and remember how lucky/blessed we are.

2. I'm thankful for when she sleeps
3. I'm thankful for the fact that she only poops every third day or so.
4. I'm thankful I had a fairly easy C section recovery.
5. For all of my family that loves her so much, and does stuff to help out.
6. My doctors, I'm not sure she would be here without them.
7. Spring, finally!
8. That my GD went away and I can eat yummy things again
9. That MH stays up late on weekends and can do a MOTN feeding, otherwise he just sleeps through her crying.
10. Yoga pants
My Pregnancy/Parenting BLOG TTC since 5/2011, BFP #1 12/3/11, M/C 12/7/11 @ 4wks 2d. Began seeing RE Sep 2012. October 2012 Metformin 1500 mg= ovulation on CD34 BFP#2 11/14/12 9DPO, EDD 7/26/13, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks, our angel born sleeping 3/24/13 @ 22wks 2d. BFP #3 7/4/13 8DPO EDD 3/22/14, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks. started insulin @16 wks. Our rainbow, born 3/19/14 @ 39wks 6d., we're so in love!
2) My LO may cry all day but she sleeps really well at night and it's my saving grace!
3) My H has a great job and we're comfortable.
4) I might be stressed a lot but I'm happy with my life.
5) My H is awesome.
6) My twin sister is coming to visit in less than a month! I haven't seen her since August.
7) I'm going to have a new baby niece soon. I'll finally be a auntie!
8) We own a beautiful home.
9) My MIL is always willing to watch the kids and loves to do so.
10) My parents are awesome and generally healthy. My dad will be 59 this year and has had diabetes since he was 6 but he's doing great. My mom will be 58 and survived a heart attack last year and is totally fine.

2. The fact that my husband doesn't bat an eye when he comes home from work and I'm still in my pjs.
3. Our lifestyle. We are comfortable!
4. Our home & property. I love that he can take the dog on a hike down to the pond in our backyard.
5. Mountain Dew.
6. Epidurals. It's been almost 4 weeks but I'm still thankful for that!
7. My boss being gracious enough to let me leave him with an illiterate replacement, and let me work from home.
8. Extended family.
9. A full fridge and pantry.
10. A dishwasher.

2 - my adorable son who is sleeping on my lap. He is such a good baby and hardly cries and is just so cute!!!
3 - my sweet twin girls. They may make my crazy from time to time but they are sweet girls who love everyone and always want to kiss their brother
4 - my parents and siblings who are so great with my children and always willing to help out
5 - my beautiful home - the floor may be covered in toys and the counters covered in dishes but it is a beautiful home and I love it!!
6 - strawberry bannana smoothies from the local coffee shop wow hey are good. Wish I could have one right now
7 - my job as a primary teacher. I love my job and am greatful that I get to take a year off and go back to my job.
8 - my husbands job which allows us to live comfortably and enjoy some fun in life like trips (can't wait to take the kids to disney in 2 years)
9 - I'm thankful that winter seems to finally be over in southern ontario and I may not have to see snow for at least 6 months (fingers crossed) I'm so sick of snow
10 - I'm thankful to have been able to have a shower everyday since baby boy came home - I didn't always get one when the twins were babies so it's nice
1. a good sleeper and an easy-going baby
2. my H. Even though he can drive me BSC sometimes he's my best friend and really gets me and what I need from him right now.
3. Wonderful coworkers who made my pregnancy and maternity leave virtually stress free
4. A roof over our heads
5. Job stability. Not many people can say that (MH included).
6. My family. Especially my mom.
7. Great friends
8. Food in our fridge
9. Money in the bank
10. My education

2. My husband. He eased into fatherhood and blew me away. I seriously could't have gone through the pregnancy and these first few months without him.
3. My mother. She has helped me and listed to my crying more times than i can count. There are times when she has dropped everything to come help me and i could't be more thankful.
4. The rest of my family. Seeing them come into their new roles is amazing!
5. My furbabies for being so good transitioning from no baby to where we are now!
6. For the sleep i do get.
7. For zantac. It works- she feels better- everyone is happy!
8. For the beautiful weather we had this week. We got to get out and walk. It was nice!
9. I am thankful when we have quiet outings...like to restaurants...we have had some not so quiet ones!
10. That i have a roof over my head, a reliable vehicle, and i'll be thankful for my hardworking husband again. He works so hard so that i can stay home with mia.
2. LO. The amount of unconditional love I have for this little guy, is unbelievable. I would do anything for my little fart monster
3. A new lactation doc I started seeing this week. I EP since week two due to pain. I went in for supply issues and was about to nurse in front of the doc (her request) when she stopped me. She immediately saw that both nipples were infected, then noticed LO's severe tongue tie. BF'ing was excruciating for me and would bring on instant tears. I can take a good amount of pain too. I even brought up the tongue tie to the pedi at week 2 (we're week 5 now) and he didn't think it was a big deal, didn't want to clip it. The new doc clipped it right there in the office and got me on antibiotics to heal my shit. We now have a good chance at BFing in a couple weeks!
4. My parents & inlaws. They're so awesome and love LO so much!
5. Sound machines = more sleep
6. Spring is finally here!
7. We hit our savings goal this week for a down payment on a house. Score!
8. DH's health insurance. It's awesome.
9. That DH still wants to have sex with me despite all the aweful stretch marks, saggy skin, and milking boobs. We haven't DTD yet as I'm not cleared but he's excited for it when it does happen.
10. We have so many amazing friends & family & an awesome bmb!
1) my beautiful baby boy! Even tho we were told we were having a girl, I wouldn't have changed our story for anything in the world! This lil man is so amazing!
2) my H. He drives me f'n crazy at times but he is the love of my life and I can't imagine my life without him.
3) coffee!!
4) sex!! MH & I are back in full force (altho I can't wait to be done with the condoms)!
5) my amazing family and friends. When we had a closet full of pink stuff that needed to be replaced with blue, they didn't bat an eye at buying us add'l gifts of boy clothes. We are so blessed and he is spoiled!
6) a job I love!
7) no credit card debt even after all the baby stuff we bought!
8) my puppy! He is such a little lover.
9) a great house, food on the table and money in the bank.
10) beer & wine!!

1. Fallyn- she is the light of our lives and we are so lucky to have her
2. DH- love you. Even when I'm mad at you I still and will always love you, you're my best friend
3. Fur baby phoebe. You keep us alive with your personality and your love for chasing rabbits. And thank you for making us walk everyday. It's just as fun for us as it is for you (I love you even when you roll on dead rabbits and you need a bath)
4. INLAWS- you all are so great! Especially after hearing all my bumpy pals BSC inlaws. I appreciate all you do for us! Thanks for moving to CO to be near us all
5. My twin sis. You drive me BSC but you're always there when I need you
6. Bumpies- you rock my world! I love this group.
7. The roof over my head. So lucky to have what we have
8. Beer wine and vodka- you've attributed to my troubles and helped me through them. Cheers!
9. High heels and lipstick- though we are not super aquatinted at the moment putting you on really makes me feel pretty
10. Sunshine- I need you, you make me feel alive and well and I'm so lucky to be able to enjoy you
