What test do you use?

So I made the huge mistake of symptom spotting this cycle, and had started to get my hopes up again. Today AF is due & no sign of her! So I took a Clearblue Digital and BFN

- so then I googled (as you do) false negatives for Clearblue Digital (oh Amy)... And found plenty of disgruntled Clearblue digital users (you can find anything on the internet if you try hard enough). Just wondering what tests you use, or have heard others speak highly of?? Of course no amount of hoping, praying, "researching" or different brand POAS will make me pregnant this cycle. Moral: never get hopes up

I've heard bad things about wondfo HPTs lately. First response early result tests are usually considered the best, but generally any pink dye test will be good.

When I do test (not very often), I use wondfos. Much cheaper!

Wondfos are great for the price, but there have been a few bad batches lately. For this last IUI I used a few different types:
.88 cent cheapo tests from walmart
$1.35 tests from Dollar General
First Response Early Result
Generic test from my local mom and pop drugstore.

My favorite was definitely the First Response Early Result. These tests are pink dye tests, so there was no confusion on if the shadow is really a line. They're almost foolproof tests, but they're a little more expensive. I think I paid $8 for two tests and the box had a $1 off coupon.

I have always used wondfo and confirmed with FRER and never have a problem. They can detect HCG as low as 25 from what I've seen.

I used FRER, Wal-Mart cheapies and dollar tree ones. I just ordered Wondfo for the first time today. I didnt know I would be testing mulitple time a day with opk and the CBDig are so expensive. I will keep the ones I have left for retesting a positive. (Which I have never had anyway)

I will also add that Wondfos are extremely sensitive, in my experience too. I keep using them, and just back them up with more expensive brands if necessary. With the IUI cycle, I had to test out two triggers, and a FRER everyday would have bankrupted me. So, Wondfo it was.

I would recommend the first response also. I've tried dollar store brand twice and I don't think they are nearly as sensitive. I also don't test until 12dpo, so I don't really use a lot of tests to invest in a big order of Wondfos. Although looking back on my 16 months, I should have. I also would not use a digital until like 16dpo.

Last cycle I tested with a digital at 12dpo and it said not pregnant. Come to find out I actually was, but it sadly ended in an early loss. I will probably never buy the digital again, but that's just because I am bitter lol.

I use Wondfos to test out my trigger so I have tons of them. But I usually use FRER at 13-14dpo. I want to use the most accurate test at that point and since I usually get AF as soon as I POAS, I only usually use 1!

In previous cycles I use the Babi brand from Amazon. They are tiny and cute and cheap, so I can on 10 a day if I want. But always a BFN for me :-S lol I hope you have better luck!!

Thanks everyone - I will definitely order bulk cheapies for future use! I figured being more expensive the digital would be more accurate, but apparently that's not necessarily the case. Hmm well still no AF today & BFN on a second Clearblue digital. I'm not normally late but I'm sure she'll show up very soon. Got a blood test today, but in Australia we have a public holiday tomorrow (ANZAC Day) so no results until Monday. I feel so conflicted - trying so hard not to get my hopes up.

Aww sorry to hear AF arrived. I used Wondfos because thought of peeing on a $4+ stick just to see a BFN would depress me even more. If I ever get a positive on a Wondfos I'd probably run out to get a digital test stat.
