Movies

Have you taken your LO to the movies yet? If so how did they do?

I did when she was about 2.5, then again when she was 3.  It went better when she was 3.

A storm that dumped up to 15 inches of snow on parts of Colorado and Kansas is making its way east, with winter storm warnings and advisories issued for today and tomorrow as far east as Pennsylvania. • A theater in town does a free kids movie at like 10am on Saturday. It's a movie that has been out a while nothing new, but i thought about taking DS.

Oh, I think there is a theater around here that does that too. It's specifically for parents and young kids, right? That sounds like it would be fun.
    Yup.
  • We've gone to about 5 so far, the first being around 2 years old. She does well... gets a little antsy towards the end, but great overall.
  • Yup, she loves the movies!

LOL i'm sure she does. Did she do well when she was younger? I'm sorry i should have worded my question differently.

PS can't wait until DS is her age so that i can do more stuff like the movies with him!

PSS you still liking your hair?
  • One of our (two!) theaters does a thing in the summer where every Thursday at 10am there's an older cartoon and it's just $4 per person (same price for parent or child) and that comes with a juice box, fruit snacks, and a small popcorn. And the idea is that it's small children who may not behave.

LO did just okay with it last summer. He certainly couldn't sit quietly for 90 minutes. We won't take him to a 'real' movie until we see how he does this summer. They start in June.

I didn't take her until she was 5. She had no interest, and wouldn't sit through until that point. So I can't really answer for younger :)
    And I LOVEEEEEEE my hair!

  • Still too little, DD gets zero screen time.
  • No, we will wait until he's around 4 to take him to the movies. I'd much rather take him to see an actual play.
