UPDATE: HE'S HERE!! @JessieAlbin is headed to L&D!!

She's officially 41 weeks, and is going in to get some cervadil and hopefully get her body with the program, and that sweet baby outside!

Let's give her lots of gifs to laugh at and encourage her while she waits!

Quick update #1: Jessie's all IV'd and Cervadil'd up, and is just waiting for some progress. If nothing major happens overnight they'll discuss breaking her water in the early morning. For now, she and her DH are resting. More to come as this labor continues!

Update #2: so far the cervadil is doing its job; she's been having some intense contractions and is beginning to dilate (at 2-3), so the docs in their infinite wisdom decided to remove the cerv a few hours early. She's doing her best to get some rest, and other than being very tired, is in good spirits. Yay for progress! Stay tuned for the next exciting installment!

UPDATE #3: Water broke at 330am!! Looks like there's meconium in the fluid (common with overdue babies); things are getting intense!!

Update #4: They've started her on a pitocin drip. Jessie's contractions are quite intense, and the lack of additional progression combined with exhaustion from lack of sleep has proven too much to bear and she's decided on an epidural. Fingers crossed it helps her get some needed rest, as well as relaxes her enough to progress further! Go Jessie Go!!

Update #5: At last check, she's dilated to 6. They've upped her fluids and gave the baby a break from the pitocin. They keep flipping her from one side to the other, to keep him from getting too distressed, as she's been contracting with no break in between. Looks like we'll be seeing that sweet face very soon!

Update #6: Good news from the nurse, dialated to ten, 100% effaced, they just want him to move down a little more before she starts pushing, so she's not pushing forever. For now she's been told to nap, and save her energy for the upcoming work. SOON!!

FINAL UPDATE: He is here!! Sullivan James was born at 7:20pm, 7lbs4oz. Quote from Jessie: "He is perfect. Loves the boob. Ugly cried. His Daddy is in love." Mama and baby are doing great! She'll post pics and birth story when she's had some time to rest.
