Heating breast milk?

How are you ladies doing this? DH wants to help with the feedings but we are not sure how to heat up the milk.

Re: Heating breast milk?

  • My kiddos take it cold, thankfully!

  • We use the kiinde bottle warmer.
  • Fill a bowl or something with hot water (I use a Pyrex 2 cup liquid measuring cup) and put the bottle in for a few minutes. Test a few drops on the inside of your wrist. Done!

  • Kiddo takes it room temp or cold. I defrost breastmilk under warm running water.

  • We did our first bottle today to test how LO would react and get me some relief from nighttime cluster feeding. I have the Medela system so I had DH heat half of a coffee cup of water in the microwave for 2 minutes and then sat the storage bottle in there for a few. It heated up perfect and it was quick and easy! I didn't want to wait for the stove when baby is upset in the middle of the night so I'm glad it worked.

  • My dd always took it cold or room temp - hoping this one is the same lol.
  • We let the keruig heat up water an then warm in a big mug.
