I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow...and no morning sickness yet. I don't even have sore boobs (only had it right after the transfer). Only pregnancy symptoms: fatigue (extreme at times), some cramping/fullness in uterus and abdomen, and food aversion in the evenings. I pretty much lose my appetite after 5-6pm (was worse last week and week before, it's not AS bad this week). I can't help but be a little worried. Some women may say I'm "lucky" but a part of me would rather have it for the "reassurance" that everything is OK. My mom did not experience it with all 3 of her kids, and she mentioned to me that she doesn't recall my aunts having it either. Can this be hereditary?
Just wondering if any of you experienced/are experiencing this.
I thought I was one of those lucky ones when I was pregnant with DD. My ob asked about m/s at my 1st appointment at 9 weeks and I proudly announced no sickness! The next day I was sick (although m/so the 1st time around was a walk in the park compared to this one!) I hope you continue to be sickness-free!!
DH & I: 29 TTC #1 4/2009 - DD 2/5/10 TTC #2 since October 2011 2IF issues
I had no morning sickness. My mom was the same way with both of her pregnancies - and I too was wondering if it was hereditary. The worst that I got was feeling like gagging at times. I feel very thankful that I didn't experience morning sickness!
I had one week where I was semi-queasy and that's about it. I was worried since everything I read said I sould be extra sick due to having twins. You might not have any MS at all or get it in 3rd tri. lol There is just no telling! Don't worry about it though.

I didn't feel much of anything at 8 weeks. I started feeling nauseous from about 10 weeks - 15/16 weeks, and it was mainly just feeling nauseous. I threw up 5 times total, and 2 of those times were caused by a gag reflex from brushing my teeth!
I was completely like you with no morning sickness until week 9. It came with a vengeance too. I also wished I had it for the reassurance purposes, and I smile now when I do have it. I am probably the only person in the world who loves my ms. So who knows maybe your will come next week.
I NEVER got an ounce of MS and I am almost 24 wks. I remember making this same post and being sooo worried I wasnt sick but now I honestly know I was so lucky. Its hard when youre dealing with IF brain and you worry about everything. It is true though...dont over analyze every symptom or lack of. Wish I had followed that idea. My friends had no MS either...some just dont get it.
I also didnt get a whole lot of other symptoms either and things have been great so far!
I had a little bit of nausea but that was it and I am currently 18 weeks. I take it as I am lucky I haven't had morning sickness because I've seen others who really struggled with it. It may sound stupid but it took us a bit to get pregnant but my body doesn't seem to hate it all that much so I'll take it. Oh and I did have pretty bad exhaustion up until 14-15 weeks.

I really think that ms is hereditary. My mom and sister had it really bad and so did I with ds. This pg I'm not throwing up yet but my dr said it usually peaks during the 8th wk which I just started my 8th wk. I def have food aversions and am nauseous. So I'm just waiting for it to really hit full force.

I'm almost 34 weeks and I never had morning sickness. I was terrified during my first tri that lack of morning sickness meant things would not go well, but fortunately that wasn't the case. I didn't experience the exhaustion everyone else complained about either. Guess I am just a super special unicorn :-)

Thanks for the posts ladies. I did a little bit of searching and did find that most people agree that the morning sickness, or lack thereof, is hereditary. So that may be some of my answers.
I felt a little better yesterday, but this morning I'm sort of discouraged since my uterine twinges/cramping has seemed to subsided too. I'm wondering if it's actually the decrease/disappearance in the OHSS symptoms that's making me feel this way. I'm kicking myself because rather than being thankful that I feel great, I'm questioning every little thing. It helps to read back on these and note that every pregnancy is different and many people don't feel symptoms too. Either way, I'll have an answer tomorrow when I go in for my next u/s.

SAME! Though, I wasn't terrified due to lack of symptoms, I thought it was great! I don't necessarily agree that it's
hereditary because my mom said she got super sick when she was pregnant
(like pull over while driving to puke sick), I just think every woman
and every pregnancy are different. I did have some minor food aversions, mostly to any kind of meat, but no sickness. I also feel a little tired now, but at 32 weeks I'm not sleeping through the night anymore and I attribute it to this, as it's not horribly exhausting like most women complain about.

I never had morning sickness or sore boobs. I had some food aversions, and my appetite was out of control. Craziest hunger pains, and I was constantly hungry. I brought this up with my OB and she said that hormones affect women differently, mine seemed to make my crazy hungry. I also experienced dysgeusia, for a few weeks, which made everything taste awful.

From what I've heard if you get nauseous on BCP and/or motion sickness you're more likely to have morning sickness.
I know it'd be nice to feel reassured but trust that everything is going exactly as it should be and your baby is doing just fine.
