Stopping in to say hi. I may or may not have been lurking on a monthly board over their explosive last few days and I was looking forward to this post. :x Hug to all of those who need them.

I keep in touch with some outside of TB but for those who may be interested in our happenings since I stepped away: DH and I decided to foster. We're pretty far along into the process to get licensed. We still have some steps to go but we're getting them taken care of. :) My DH also just recently (as in a few days ago) casually brought up the topic of starting TTC again in the near future. Uhhh. We'll see about that. A lot more discussion will be had first.

QOTW: I like pancakes or French toast. I bet waffles made by @uneek1323 are just as good.
    Whoa! Hi @maddielynn321‌ !!

Congrats on being so far along in the fostering process

  • Thanks for the check in @uneek1323‌ :x

@GrailSeeker14‌ I hope all of your testing goes well. GL with the writing. Some days, I'm so glad to be done with school. Part of me does miss it, though

AFM: I'm on cd11, non medicated cycle. Some of you may know, but first IUI was a bust and then I had 7 cysts at my next baseline u/s.
I was pretty upset and feeling defeated but that has passed for the most part.
My H and I started therapy, as a proactive measure. We really liked our first session.
I also started fertility yoga, so I'm feeling good about doing something else positive

Hi uneek! I missed you and was so excited to see your heart!

QOTW -  I love homemade waffles but we have been making some blueberry pancakes that are perfection. I have a weakness for carbs in the morning so english muffins, cereal, blueberry muffins, and french toast have been my favorite at some point. Bacon, eggs and hashbrowns are always good also.

@GrailSeeker14 - Moving forward with testing sounds like a good step for you. I hope you can some answers and a more concrete plan for moving forward. As far as being distracted, can you find a no-internet zone to write in? It could be a designated spot in your house or a quiet location somewhere else.

@maddielynn321 - Hey lady! Congrats on the choice to foster!

@rachaeleigh - I'm sorry for the cysts but glad your doctor is watching you closely. I have a fertility yoga DVD but it was not my favorite either. I'm terrible about doing yoga at home but really want to get back into doing it.

ETA - I realized while we were making breakfast that I forgot to put in an update about me.

TTCAL - I finally went and saw a new OB since moving. I'm not 100% on board with this one but he did agree to do the blood testing that I wanted (updated AMH, testosterone and DHEA levels) and said he wants to do a cholesterol check, thyroid panel, and some other stuff. He is having me wait until 3 dpo so he can do that blood work also. He wants me back on CD21 for a progesterone check - I'll come in at 7dpo, tyvm. I'm just riding out the 2WW now.

Non-TTCAL - I'm officially admitted to practice here! Yay! I've updated my resume and am sending out applications now.

  • @uneek1323  I hope you were traveling somewhere good!

@GrailSeeker14  I hope you are able to get some answers from your testing.  When I am really having a hard time focusing, I come up with an internet break schedule, like I have to write one section of X and then I can spend X minutes fooling around on the internet.  It's not the most efficient way to do work, but sometimes it's the best I can do.
    ;)

@maddielynn321  Congrats on deciding to foster!

@Rachaeleigh  I'm sorry for the cysts, that really sucks.  I had them this cycle and had to sit out too, and it's really a double whammy.  Not only was last cycle unsuccessful, but you're out for this one, too.  Big (((HUGS)))  It's great that you're finding positive things to do.

@buggirl72  Congratulations on being admitted to practice!  I'm glad your new OB agreed to the testing you wanted.

AFM, I am counting down the days until DH gets home.  He's away on a 3 week business trip, and he gets back on Saturday.
    :D
Also, anxiously awaiting AF's arrival, hopefully in a week, since this cycle was a bust due to cysts.  We froze sperm for IUI since DH was traveling, but then the cycle was canceled due to the cysts.  So now I'm in the unusual situation of being excited for AF to show.

QOTW: I love all breakfast foods.  My current favorite is scrambled eggs with tomatoes.  I also love waffles and pancakes.  We do breakfast for dinner pretty regularly.  I also love Filipino breakfast now, which includes eggs, white rice, and a cured meat of some sort (like bacon or corned beef).  The rice thing seems weird at first, but it is soooo good.

@uneek1323  Hope you were traveling somewhere fun

@GrailSeeker14  I hope all the testing goes well. FX!

@maddielynn321  Congrats on deciding to foster!

@Rachaeleigh  I'm sorry for the cysts from your last cycle. Hopefully they aren't causing too much pain. And fertility yoga sounds interesting!

@buggirl72  FX for all the testing

@LaRomana09 I'm sorry for all the cysts. I hope they go away soon.

I'm still on BCP waiting to start my suppression medication next weekend. I stop the pills next Friday. I have my baseline ultrasound tomorrow so I am hoping everything looks good and we won't get cancelled. The RN called to say that the doctor also wants to do an endometrial biopsy just in case we transfer. I'm terrified of the pain. I asked the girls on the IF board what to expect and a few of them said the pain was so bad they got sick :(    I'm hoping I can numb myself a bit with Tylenol but I'm still scared. My husband has to work so I'll be going alone.

QOTW: I love homemade waffles with PB and syrup.

@maddielynn321 Congratulations on fostering & being so far along in the licensing process!
@rachaeleigh ((hugs)) I'm sorry the IUI didn't work out.  I'm glad your first therapy session with YH went well.  I've been thinking about starting yoga!  Have you done it before?  I haven't but have started looking at local classes!

@jbasore1123 FX for a good u/s and minimal pain!!!!  Is there anyone else around that can go with you?!  ((hugs))

TTC- Nothing new.  We had good timing this cycle so I'm keeping my FX.  I have no science to back up any of my crazy theories but I'm wondering if the Asherman's could have somehow affected my ovulation & potentially AMH?  I know it seems weird but my cycles have been 28 days exactly since my procedure in January (they had been anywhere from 18-28 days since my first loss) and they hadn't been this way since before we started TTC.  Ugh.  Oh well.

QOTW- I love all things breakfast!!!!!  Waffles, pancakes, french toast, eggs (with peppers and onions, with goal cheese & parsley, with avocado & salsa, oh me oh my the list goes on!), bacon, croissant rolls...

  • @GrailSeeker14 I'm hoping everything goes well with testing and you get prompt results.

@maddielynn321 My door is always open for my SFAM for fresh, homemade waffles. xoxox

@rachaeleigh I'm sorry about your last IUI and cysts. ((hugs)) I can completely understand feeling defeated, and I'm glad you're enjoying your new yoga routine.

@buggirl72 I'm glad you set your new RE straight. Sometimes you have to spell it out for them. ;) Good luck with your resumes! I'm so excited for you!

@LaRamona09 I'm sorry for the busted cycle and cysts. ((hugs)) Enjoy your time with your husband and bring it on AF!

@jbasore1123 ((hugs)) and good luck for your procedure. I'll be thinking about you.

    @wickedsugar ((hugs))

@jap618 FX for you this cycle.

I just got back from being back east for a week. It was rough at times. I went to a wedding for a friend and then visited with family. If I wasn't getting slapped in the face with pregnancy announcements, I was getting stress and medical advice from family members.

TTCAL World - I was on a short BCP cycle since I was away from my husband last week. My doctor had me on BCP for 10 days to shorten my cycle. I'm on CD7 of a natural cycle. I had another "bend over in pain, I can't breathe it hurts so much for 20 minutes" episode yesterday. My husband called 911 and had an ambulance come out but I didn't go to the ER again. It was exactly like the episode I had a few weeks ago with the ruptured cyst and they didn't do anything in the ER except charge me $3,000. The pain went away so I declined going to the ER. I'll be calling my doctor tomorrow, but, ya know. It's just more shit piled on top of the overflowing pile of shit I already have.

  • @uneek1323 Thanks for the check-in. ((hugs)) I’m sorry to hear that you had another episode of the severe pain and that you had to deal with announcements and insensitive comments.

@GrailSeeker14 Sorry for AF showing up. ((hugs)) Good luck with all the testing!

@maddielynn321 Hey! That is so awesome that you’re working on being a foster parent.

@rachaeleigh ((Hugs)) Sorry it didn’t work out and for the cysts. Kick you while you’re down, huh? It sounds like you’re taking some positive steps forward with the yoga and therapy.

@buggirl72 Good luck with the applications! I’m glad your new OB is agreeing to run those tests. Did you just not get a good vibe from him?

@laromana09 FX that AF doesn’t keep you waiting for long.

@jbasore1123 FX for a good ultrasound tomorrow. I hope that the biopsy is not as bad as you’re expecting.

    @wickedsugar Hi!

@jap618 I’m glad that you were able to get good timing in this cycle. Good luck!

Update: Well, BFN yesterday and today, so my first IUI was a bust. I got off the phone with my RE's nurse a little while ago and she said that they might increase my letrozole and possibly add injects immediately after. We're going to do another IUI as long as the timing is ok.

The dilema I have about this cycle is that we're going on vacation starting May 9th. We're driving to Utah and meeting up with another couple, spending a couple of days at their house, then visiting a couple of the parks there. We can always push back the date and leave on the 10th. Depending on when AF shows up tomorrow or in the next couple of days, I'll be on CD 15-17 on the 8th. This past cycle was weird, but past medicated cycles, I've O'd on CD 13, 14, 16, and 16. What would you do? Meds and TI, meds and IUI, no meds?

QOTW: I love breakfast. My ultimate favorite is probably waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream.

  • Wow that was getting long, I figured I better start a new post!

As for me, I am still on my never ending cycle. I know it's not really that long, it just is longer than I have ever had. I *think* AF should be here in the next day or two. In the meantime I have had to cancel my SIS for this week and am still waiting for my CD3 bw. At this rate MH will be done his testing before me and his SA isn't for another two weeks!

QOTW: There is nothing that would be on a breakfast menu that I don't like. I would eat it for all three meals if I could. DH doesn't like/eat eggs though we usually end up with waffles or BLT's for breakfast.

Update: The biopsy wasn't bad! I went in there terrified. I had to wait about 40 minutes in the waiting room and I was so worked up with nerves that I was almost on the verge of tears. When my RE came in the room I asked him if people cry with the procedure and he said "sometimes. More often people swear at me!". I had taken 2 extra strength Tylenol and I had woken up with a horrible headache so I had taken an extra strength Excedrin as well, so I had a lot of pain meds, lol. I guess it helped! It definitely pinched enough that I scrunched up my face but it was over quickly.

  • @taberbtb‌ I'm sorry that your cycle is being weird and interfering with testing.

@jbasore1123‌ I'm glad that the test wasn't as bad as you were expecting. Fx for good results!

Update on authorization- I talked to my nurse yesterday and she said that we received authorization for this cycle, but it's unlikely we'll get authorization for the injects. I don't really understand why, but she said they won't authorize the injects so close together. Even though it's been several weeks since I took them, on paper it looks like I took them last week since I borrowed the meds while waiting for authorization. She said I shouldn't make a habit of borrowing them meds like that because they'll see the pattern and stop authorizing it. Of course I can pay for these OOP, but I will be paying more than twice as much for monitoring and meds.

Conclusion: we're doing a natural cycle this time around. It's so frustrating that my care is being decided by a group of people who don't know me or overseeing my case. I'm thankful that California is one of the states that had mandated fertility coverage , but they sure don't make it easily accessible (at least MH's insurance provider).

Eta: Sorry for the long rant. It really upset me to tears yesterday.
