101 fever breast pain

I call the doctor and said to take a Tylenol to see if the fever would go down.... Imy breast are not hot or red but theatre so sore like somebody punched the really hard, have any of you ladies experience this? I really worried

I haven't so I don't have any first had experience, but my SIL got a double infection the week after her son was born, and had to go back to the hospital. Just listen to your doctor, and I'm sure you will be fine. her temperature did spike fast, so keep an eye on yours

Boob pain + fever = I would definitely push for the mastitis antibiotics!

Feeling much better after Tylenol my fever is down and my boob pain it a little better we'll see tonight how it goes I hope it's not mastitis

If you have aches, pains, fever & chills you probably have mastitis. I'm just getting over it. You need the antibiotics, the Tylenol will only break the fever & maybe just for a short time. You need to read up, practice rest, apply heat, massage & empty the boob! You need to keep BF & pumping thru this or things will get worse!

What Macy said...I'm also just getting over mastitis and it was the sudden onset of fever chills and aches that had me call the doc. This was last Saturday and the doc prescribe antibiotics immediately without seeing me that day and I was given an appt the following Monday to see the doc. So if you're feeling better only using Tylenol than perhaps it's just a blocked duct.

I think it was just a block duct I massaged it and pumped and took the Tylenol and started to feel like my self again I didn't have any pain besides soreness in one breast so thank god it wasn't anything bigger than that I've been pumping in the am after he feeds ANd at night after he feeds if he doesn't empty one boob and so far is been working great

this. some hard spots are normal if engorged....fever not so much.... not sure about feeding milk if u have infection either
