I'm making this caprese pasta salad for DD's party on Sunday. I know it can be made a day in advance so I'm planning on putting it all together tomorrow. Do you think it would be okay to cut up the cheese, basil, and tomatoes today though? I don't see a problem doing the cheese but I'm not sure if the tomatoes will get too soggy or something? Or if the basil won't taste as fresh?
Cheese would be fine. Tomatoes and basil would be better the day of, but as long as it's refrigerated it should honestly all be fine if you do it the day before... *shrug* I'm totally the kind of person who likes to get things done in advance, so I'd sacrifice a potential loss of some just to get it off the to-do list.
Thanks guys! I think I'm just impatient to get things off my list! Lol. I'm going to do the cheese but leave the rest until I'm actually making the salad.
