So DS will be 10 months on May 1st. After he turns 1 I'd like to drop pumping altogether and just nurse while at home. I'm really nervous that my supply will tank if I stop pumping at work (I pump twice a day). Any suggestions ladies? TIA!!
you should be fine. a few weeks before you want to stop pumping, cut back to one pumping session a day at work. then you can drop the last session when you're ready. some people go cold turkey (i did), others cut back on the length of that last session before dropping it.
i stopped pumping at work when my DS was 14 months. he is now 20 months and is still nursing 3-5 times a day at home.
