June BFP Fever

All these bfps are exciting! AF isn't. back yet here, but I learned a new term tonight: "catching the first egg"(pregnant before AF), and that the longer you go without AF, the more likely your first cycle will NOT be anovulatory. I think I'm coming down with baby fever just at the thought of the possibility, so please indulge me....

Anyone here catch the first egg? What made you think you were pregnant?

Regardless of the timing, has your bfp impacted your nursing? Are you still nursing? Are your symptoms different this pregnancy? How has pregnancy been with your LO in the mix?

My supply took a huge hit when I got pregnant but we did a weekend of power nursing and it's def back up but not to where I used to be. I'm still nursing and don't plan on stopping, may even end up tandem nursing. I'm only 6ish weeks right now but do far most symptoms have stayed away. Nausea has not reared it's ugly face and I'm so thankful, hoping it doesn't come.

Mine was not the first egg after AF came back

more like the fifth but we weren't trying. I wasn't nursing so no tips there, sorry! Pregnancy this time has been a little different, last time I had HG and not this time. I am very nauseated but not a ton of throwing up. Mind you, I have a cold and coughing makes me throw up so that sucks. I just finished coughing and throwing up so hard my nose bled. Yay. As for DD, I feel so bad for her and like a terrible mom. If I'm not super nauseous I'm super tired. I don't play with her as much as I used too. And my house is a disaster.

I'm almost out of the first trimester so fingers crossed I get that 'burst' of energy. N has such an amazing giggle and smile, I can't wait to play more and see those more often.

@maelara your post just gave me hope. I think I have been in the you have HG once you will definitely get it again mind frame. I was just miserable last time I cannot allow myself to see past that. I would definitely be interested in getting an update from you further down the road on if it rears it's ugly head for you again. Really hoping for your sake that if it hasn't struck so far it won't at all. I still have most days where I think I am one and done because I'm so terrified of it happening again.

last time my HG wasn't diagnosed until second tri but I was sooo sick during the first tri. This time I've only thrown up a handful of times (excluding my stomach flu of course!). I'm feeling good about it not turning into HG! I'm glad I can give you hope!!

Still super early though. I had weird dreams and fatigue right before this BFP, very similar to what I experienced before my BFP with LO#1 so I had a hunch. I have a cold right now so that's making it harder to keep up with LO than the pregnancy. I feel like I am walking around in a dream though;) so so happy and excited for LO to have a little sibling.

Not pregnant. Sort of have the fever. But trying not to think about it because we aren't gonna try for about another year.

We went to visit a 9 day old tonight and brought them dinner. I know having a newborn isn't always like this, but seeing her so peacefully zonked out and seeing N crawling around whining like a teething mad-baby made me miss those early days

sort of.

Did not catch the first egg - I had one cycle before I found out I was pregnant. I got my cycle back around 6 months when I was still nursing. I didn't find out I was pregnant though until I was close to 8 weeks along - and 16 days late. I had gone to the doctor and everything during that time frame, and they said "eh - don't worry about it, your cycle can be crazy while BFing." I took a test to ease my mind and SURPRISE!

I have since stopped nursing. We made it until about 9 months. We were planning on going a year, but with the pregnancy and the nursing, I was having a whole lot of trouble with fatigue, and my supply was tanking, so with my doctor's blessing, we called it. Sometimes, I am sad we didn't make it the whole 12 months, but I am also proud we did make it to 9 months.

So far, physical symptoms are the same. But I think I am showing a little more than I was at this time last time. Mentally though, I am still sorta struggling with denial over this pregnancy. It is like I KNOW it is really happening, but I am just having trouble coming to terms with it. It is not that I am not happy about having another baby, I just don't feel like it is real at all. And it is a little more exhausting chasing around a very active 10 month old!

Not pregnant, but definitely have the fever and am trying. I feel like there are a lot of us TTC. Maybe we could do a TTC check in once a week if enough of us want to?

This. Sounds good to me! I definitely have the fever, but we're not pulling the goalie for another month and a week (DH is counting down the days). I also don't have PP AF back, so my check-ins will be super boring ... but I want to play!!

That would be fun! Still waiting for my cycle to come back over here. All the BFPs are making me very impatient. Ooo! Guess what just occurred to me! As I write this, I think I might be pumping at work for the very last time...hopefully that will get me somewhere. My freezer stash is big enough, and I was planning on quitting after this week. I just remembered that it's Friday, and now I'm super excited!
