What are your 3 y.o. fav indoor and outdoor toys?

I know we all hate these posts. But I am going to ask anyways. If you have/have had a 3 year old what are their fav indoor and outdoor toys? I am looking for birthday ideas for ds. I need some ideas that are $25 or less. So far I have outdoor toys like mini golf, tball, mini horseshoes, sand/water toys and indoor toys like books, action figures (he isn't into them yet but he likes pretend play so I think that would be a hit). And that is it. Am I missing something obvious? He doesn't like blocks or legos.

What do kids start to really enjoy between 3-4 years old?

Ds2 loves sticker books, window markers, and puzzles. The Melissa and Doug zoo train puzzle is done almost daily here. Outside he likes chalk, bubbles, and his bike. Any type of ball is a hit too. Oh, and a kite. We got him one a couple of weekends ago and he loves it. We obviously help him hold it, but he asks to fly it a lot.

DD turned three in March. She's very into pretend play (doctor, restaurant/tea party mommy, firefighter). She loves going to the park to swing and slide. Also, bubbles are a big deal right now.

Nolan really enjoys "Alphie" (it was Emily's and I'm not sure stores still carry it): he's this little electronic robot with cards with letters, numbers, animals, etc. on them and Alphie asks questions and you select the button next to the answer. So smart and Nolan is great with it (2yrs 10mos).

He also loves Magnatiles and these huge Tonka/Cat construction vehicles he can push around the house & yard. They make metal and plastic.

The sandbox/water table is a huge hit as well as the Little Tykes basketball hoop, trampoline, bubble wands, Razr scooter, and chalkboard. He enjoys Playdoh but I have to watch him like a hawk or he eats it!

The play kitchen is super fun to dump water, sand and dirt into!

He also loves the little cars that move and sing songs (Target).

For an outdoor idea, my son has been obsessed with this Stomp Rocket since last spring. You can google it and find it sold multiple places, maybe even in-store somewhere. I also love that it's light, super easy to set up (they can do it themselves), and it can really take a beating. Some of our rockets are partially broken and still work great.

DS1 loves vehicles in general, but his favorite present at 3 was a big Bruder cement mixer. It's kind of expensive, but he loves it and plays with it every day. You can put rocks or small objects in it and mix them up and pour them out. He has subsequently gotten a fire truck with a crane arm and a recycling truck to complete his fleet.
