Still cluster feeding?!

My son will be 6 weeks tomorrow and still cluster feeding! It was at this point that I gave up BFing with my first son so I'm definitely getting frustrated. Is the cluster feeding almost over? I try and give him a pacifier but he won't take it. Ughhhhhh

@scooter028‌ my son does the same thing! He gives me a face like I'm feeding him dog poop or something crazy!

Don't give up..I'm @ 7 weeks and your baby could be going through a growth spurt. In my case my daughter wasn't getting enough sleep (fights her sleep REALLY bad) and I would let her stay up and she'd get extremely fussy and the lack of sleep and over tiredness/overstimulation was making her not nurse well which left her hungry more frequently..so if u seem to be in the same situation hopefully my advice may help? Also she nurses every 2-3 hours except at night she sleeps pretty well

My LO only likes one type of paci too! Maybe try some other brands?

Hopefully there is relief soon. He goes back and forth from side to side and when the flow slows down because I am empty then he starts pulling and tugging on me. He also still eats every 2 hours. Is that normal? I will try other paci's too! Thanks ladies!

My baby is almost 6 weeks old and has been cluster feeding for the past two days. It's really demanding, but I tell myself these growth spurts are only a phase...

Someone posted a link to a beautiful "letter to my daughter" about the six-week growth spurt... I can't remember which thread it was in, but it was soooo perfect. Anyone have that? I feel like we should have a thread of awesome resources and reassurance like that for all of us. Purple crying, general growth spurt schedule, the link posted today about getting baby to sleep better... Useful stuff!

Could be a growth spurt! I feel your pain, I cried through the 6 week cluster feedings each night. Like a PP, my LO was so sleepy due to fighting sleep that nursing became work cause she would fall asleep only to awake hungry and unhappy again. Keep switching sides and think happy thoughts

Cluster feeding here too. Sucks, but it's only a short time in the grand scheme of things. I keep telling myself that LO is in control, not me, lol...

What brand did your LO end up liking? We've tried Soothies, Mam, Tommee Tippee and some brand that starts with a U that I can never remember and B hates them all!
