Waiting, waiting, waiting. H finally got his physical last week. Hope to hear from our CW this week that our profile is ready for us to review.

3.) AR-QOTW - How long have you been/did you wait before placement?

We aren't active yet so the real waiting hasn't even started.

4.) Non-AR-QOTW - Are you going to any concerts this summer, which ones?

We are going to see OAR, Avett Brothers, and Blake Shelton

3) we waited a little over 4 months from our profile bring active to bringing DS home
4) we will probably go to the Arts & Jazz fest here next weekend, but no other concerts in the plans

1.) PAP in DIA

2.) Preparing for our homestudy on May 7th. I need to tackle our budget form in the next couple days (which I've been putting off for a while). On the up side, I'm having lots of fun taking pictures of the DH and myself doing things for our profile book.

3.) Since we aren't active yet, we have a long wait ahead of us.

4.) We don't have any specific concert plans yet. We'll probably go see the Florida Pops if they do Pops In The Park again.

2.) Where are you in the process? Any accomplishments or set backs? Feel free to vent! So close to finalization! Our last meeting with the SW is this month, then court is next. DH & I collectively blanked on writing down our SW meeting date, and of course, I missed it today. I feel like a terrible irresponsible Mom. We've been so busy lately if things aren't written on our calendar they won't happen. Luckily the SW was really good about it and rescheduled for next week. I still feel bad about it!

3.) AR-QOTW - How long have you been/did you wait before placement? We waited 5 months from when our profile went active. 9 months in total from our first intro meeting at the agency.

4.) Non-AR-QOTW - Are you going to any concerts this summer, which ones? Hopefully we'll go to some of the concerts on the square in downtown Madison.

1. FTA

2. Husband just did his individual interview last night, mine is in two weeks and then we are on to dotting the I's and crossing the T's before licensing! Oh yeah, and the car seat arrived yesterday too!

3. This will be the big question we ponder over the next few months. I've been told expect within hours or months depending on needs.

4. It's an unusual one. Ravinia Festival in Chicago plays a Lord of the Rings movie on a big screen and then the Chicago Symphony Orchestra plays the score live with vocalists. I'm sure we will also see someone at Summerfest!

3. We've been waiting just over 2 months and it's a lot harder than what I originally thought. I want to do things to prepare for the baby. We've been painting and pulling up carpets and putting hardwoods in the upstairs to get the house ready, but now that it's painted, it's slightly depressing to go in and see the empty room.

4. When it comes to concerts, I'm just an old person. Unless it's like an acoustic set or something after a baseball game, I can't handle the pushy crowds or the loud music any more... haha.

We have 1 more class then a graduation class and the our first aid/CPR/med training class.

Nothing new really except that we are nearing the end of our classes.

3.) AR-QOTW - How long have you been/did you wait before placement?

We are still getting licensed since we're going through our local DSS.

4.) Non-AR-QOTW - Are you going to any concerts this summer, which ones?

Hi guys! I intro'd a while ago, and then kind of disappeared, but I'm back!
1. Guardianship of biological half-nephew (socially my son), option to adopt from July 2015
2. We have little more than a year now until Tove's case opens up again. He's also stopped calling his bio-mum Aunty Mum now, and just calls her Aunty India (her actual name) and has started calling FI Daddy sometimes (both of his own accord) which makes me really hopeful that they won't consider giving him to his bio-dad, who has known about him for over 7 months and has made no effort to meet him.
3. Not really applicable to me, to be honest. Sorry!
4. Not that I know of, yet. Nobody I like is touring at the moment.

1.) How are you related to adoption/fostering and what type (DIA, IA, Foster to Adopt, etc) are you involved with?

We have officially made the decision to foster and hopefully foster to adopt. We have our first home visit with the lic agent on Friday and are now scheduled for our PRIDE training through DCFS in IL starting this Saturday. We are very excited but we know a long road is ahead.

2.) Where are you in the process? Any accomplishments or set backs? Feel free to vent!

Very, very early. The Lic agent is coming Friday.

3.) AR-QOTW - How long have you been/did you wait before placement?

N/A yet

4.) Non-AR-QOTW - Are you going to any concerts this summer, which ones?

Yes, we are actually going to see Luke Bryan at Soldier Field over Labor Day weekend, I am so excited!

2. Not much new... Got the baby's room pretty much ready to go... Now we need a baby!
3. We have been officially licensed for about 3 weeks. Nothing has happened and I'm not good at being patient. So this is harder than I thought it would be.
4. Nope nothing planned yet... We are in major save mode for taking time off when little one comes

1.) Matched and waiting a-mom

2.) Trying to ebb and flow with our b-mom's moods and levels of comfort. some days/weeks are more stressful than others.

3.) From when we went "active" with our profiles until when we were matched was under 5 months. From our match date until her due date it's another 4.5 months

4.) No concerts this year since we are expecting in July. Last year we went to see Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z at Fenway Park and it will probably be our last concert for a while!

1 FTA 2 we had our first placement in March 3. It seemed like we were "matched" two weeks prior to certification. 4. I am not a huge fan of concerts
