I would check with your doctor to be sure. Im guessing you're asking because you're pregnant or breastfeeding and I don't have the list my doctor gave me anymore. I believe benadryl is safe, but am not 100%. You might post this on the pregnant over 35 board or on the breastfeeding board to check. But checking with someone in the medical field would be safest. Hope you get to feeling better quickly!
I am not sure if you are pregnant or nursing? I always tried to avoid medications as much as possible either way. If your head is super stuffy or runny I would suggest using a netti pot. It clears out the sinuses and no drugs are involved. Its a little gross when you first start doing it but it does work.
Wonton or miso soup, green tea, or if you are avoiding green tea oolong or plain black tea with lemon and/or honey. Won't cure it but will make you feel better.
I was allowed to take claritin. Plain claritin not claritin D. Also sudafed. Again, plain sudafed not any of the letters after it. Same with robitussin, plain old robitussin.
I was told no cough drops but could take vitamin c drops.
