Hi ladies
How long after you had baby did you start your period and how was the first few months?I'm going on eight months and nada. I'm scared that it will be crime scene.

I had my postpartum bleeding for 3 weeks, then only stopped for 1 week and started my period. The first couple month were irregular but now back to normal. I only breastfed for 3 weeks though. Everyone is different while they are breastfeeding.

I bled/spotted for nearly 12 weeks, basically until I stopped pumping. Got an IUD not long after bleeding stopped. Got my first period with the IUD around 4-5 months PP and it was definitely much heavier than before, but that could have been the IUD. IUD came out so I went back on the pill, and my last period was very normal. I expect them to become light to non-existent quickly like it was pre-pregnancy.

I am a FF, and I had my first period at 4 months. It was a crime scene for the next three months. This month, it seems a little better.

I breastfeed and didn't get mine back until about 7 or 8 months. I can't tell if its worse than it used to be or if I just got used to never having one... It does make me want to consider the option of permanent pregnancy/breastfeeding though

I got mine at 8 months. I EBF (still) and both periods have been lighter than pre-pregnancy.

I got mine at 6.5 months pp and DD is still EBF and we had started BLW a few weeks before.

Still haven't gotten one with DS, but got my first postpartum period when DD was 15.5 months old. The first period was like brown spotting, to be honest I wasn't sure if I was pregnant or that was a period. The next one was really light too, back to normal flow after that.

I've only had 4 periods in 4 1/2 years, I like @ForeverNewlyWeds might just want to keep this up forever

Baby Girl is 6 mo & I've had a period two or three times since she's been born . All VERY light . Like panty liner light . Or don't even need a liner light . I haven't had one this month, but I know breastfeeding plays a part in that. Just gotta stop thinking I'm pregnant all the time lol

Oh, & my period was never this joyfully light pre-pregnancy. Always 7 days long, start heavy then taper off . I love this new period I never wanna go back!

Just got mine at 7.5 months and it was actually pretty light (knock on wood). I am still nursing but have cut back from before (am supplementing with formula) so I'm wondering if that's what made me get it.

I have not gotten one and my baby is almost 7 months, I was Eping but stopped completely one week ago....I'm also nervous about it but want it to hurry up and come so I can get back to normal.

Lo is 6 MO next week. I got my first period about 6 weeks ago and it was super light. Going through my second right now and it's super heavy. I told dh today that I'm surprised I haven't died from blood loss lol! Lo is bf but started solids about 2 weeks ago.

EBF. Had PP bleeding for about four weeks. Had a week off and got my first. It was lighter and pain free than I've ever had. Every one since has been the same. Lighter than ever and I don't even get one cramp. (Used to put me down for at least a whole day)
