Re: I fail at temping

  • Set an alarm, even if you're going to go back to sleep after you temp. Keep the thermometer close by, or if your clock is next to your bed, put it on top of the clock. It becomes second nature after awhile. You're still early in your cycle so don't give up on yourself!

  • Alarm clock. Goes off at 5:30 every morning whether I am getting up or not. I roll over, pop it in, record it in FF and then roll back over to sleep.

  • I do what they said. I set my alarm. I have also worried that I would forget and I ended up dreaming about it because apparently, that's what I was thinking about when I was falling asleep!

  • I second putting it on top of your clock. I use my phone as an alarm and keep my thermometer on top of my phone. Then in order to turn off the alarm, I have to pick up the thermometer.

  • setting an alarm is a great idea. I might remember to temp and actually get my kid to school on time. 2 birds one stone!

  • My thermometer saves the last temp. So I set my alarm, take my temp and roll over. When I wake up, I check my thermometer and then put the temp in FF.

  • Obviously I agree with the above advice about setting an alarm just for temping, but I also just wanted to throw out that I generally don't even start temping until my period is over, about CD 5. So 3 days into your cycle is by no means "failing" at temping.

Same here. I usually start on CD4 or 5.

  • I keep my thermometer on my night stand and do it every morning when my alarm goes off.
  • Definitely not too late! But also, I can't be bothered to temp AND input into ff at 5am. I don't deal with that until later in the morning, much less to remember ;)

  • I have it sitting right with my glasses. I am practically blind without them, so I'm not going anywhere til my hand hits them and the thermometer. I like the alarm idea!

  • My alarm goes off and I set it to read "take your temp" but I don't need if. I just remember. It's the first thing I think of when I wake up because I'm anxious to see the reading.
