Most bizarre baby name ever - Zzyzx

...according to a recent survey (https://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/bizarre-baby/story?id=23439916). Apparently it's pronounced "Zay-Zix" and there are already 5 of them in the US. I'll be the first to say, if you plan on naming your kid Zzyzx, I'll be flaming you.

My sister is a pediatrician she saw a baby named pok'ets pronounced pockets. And I saw on Facebook a Matisen now I know that's a real name but why jack the spelling?

OMG...really though?!

I work at a children's hospital and the things we see come through are ridiculous:

1. Espn

2. Twins: Orangelo and Lemongelo (Orange Jello and Lemon Jello)

3. Lilcornell (father's name Cornell)

4. Eimaj (Mom's name? Jamie---go ahead, reverse those letters)

Number 4 is how we should all name our daughters! Mine would be Idnar, and I think it sounds more like a name than Eimaj!

La-a is totally real, she's now in sixth grade... As an elementary teacher who works with the entire school, I see it all. We often talk about dumb names at lunch, especially now that I am pregnant. Apparently. A friends sis, who works in a delivery room in the inner city said a mom actually named her new daughter placenta! Gross!

"Names" like that are why I don't question countries like Iceland who reserve the right to reject names. People have named their kid Satan in the US. And the jello and la-a names are real. One of my friends who used to work in a nicu also had twins names cherry and cola. So sad.

I believe it. DH worked for CPS for about 6 or so months, and one of the cases he worked...was a child with this name. What in the ever lovin' fuck. I told him that's child abuse right there. Geez.
