I put DS (13 mo. old) down around 7:45 for bed after his nighttime routine. He sometimes cries a few minutes, but overall he just lies there softly talking/singing or just staring. It can take him almost an hour to fall asleep. If I stay in there with him and rub his back then he is out in 10 minutes (I rarely do this). I'm just wonder if it is normal for him to talk so long to fall asleep.

Re: How long does it take your LO to go to sleep at night?
DD (5 years old) from IUI in 2012
TTC 3rd and final!: IUI #1 in progress!
Thank you all. I feel better knowing other babies take this long to go to sleep. I do think he likes hanging out by himself. He really does know how to entertain himself.
@JandACoffee - It doesn't matter if I move his bedtime out, he always take that long to go to sleep.

Mine usually goes down within 30 seconds of me putting him in his crib. We did sleep train though which made it easier.
If he's quiet, I would just let him be.
