Anyone else feel like trading in thier husband this week?

The husband is usually really good but this week, everything he does is just bugging the hell out of me!
I'm sure it's just my stress levels putting me on edge but ugggh!
We bought a house at the end of March, I teach full time, I have two weeks left in my Masters program, I'm due in just over 2 weeks, and I feel like no one in my house sees messes except for me, so I KNOW it's my own stress but why can't husbands just read our minds and know we need them to do whatever we're thinking? ;)

  • You have a lot on your plate! Sorry DH isn't being as helpful as he should be.

I wish they could read our minds. Our life has been like that too over the last year and our house became a disaster zone constantly and things were never getting done.

Are you working right up until your EDD? Some time off before might be what you two need to organize your house and spend some time together :)

  • MH has been a little more sluggish than I would like, for sure. For a month he has had a list of things to do around the house before baby is born. A month! Yet I did not nag. I reminded him - gently - twice that he needed to get that stuff done. He waited until last night to start doing any of it. (Typical). Now he is mad at the stuff on the list and mad at me for "not helping him remember." OKAY, DON'T BLAME THE LIST.

@florasecret I had planned on it, but little guy is breech (or at least he was at my last appointment) so we'll check today at my appointment and go from there.  If I have to schedule a Csection, I might take the day before off too.
  • Girl! You have so much going on I'm amazed you aren't more stressed! I've been annoyed with my DH but I'm probably just being sensitive. He told me to take off early. Now he thinks I should have everything done around the house but doesn't want me to push myself too hard. He literally watched me vacuum the whole house and then crash (let's face it bending over takes it out of you when your 9 months pg) He then yelled at me for doing too much. Well, help me! No, his answer is that he wants me to do it in little bits. He will be lucky to be sleeping in the house if he keeps this up.

I'm willing to rent mine out.  Anything to stop him from starting another house project before LO is born because he can't sit still.
thank god mine does this but outside, i could give a crap what he does outside the house. our fence is currently in 3 pieces as it was violating a fire hydrant by-law but i don't have to look at it!

This. Except the ones he chooses to do are unrelated to baby or stuff we really need done, when he could put the swing together or go grocery shopping or something.

THIS! He's put his own clothes away like 3 times, has organized his side of the closet, started spreading around the dirt we had brought in for the yard... but laundry, groceries, sweeping- not happening.

I asked my DH to start picking up the dog poop more frequently, suggesting maybe doing it M/W/F so DS doesn't step in it playing outside. He asked me if I could write that down for him?!?!? Seriously? Lol

That's a lot going on! Hopefully your DH shapes up though and pampers you :)

I am terribly annoyed by DH lately as well and occasionally just give up speaking with him for a while. I figure it's just safest at times.

  • ugh we bought a house/moved at the end of march/beginning of this month too and I feel ya on the stress level/messes/etc! DH has been pretty good about doing the projects I give him but I just feel like everytime I turn around there's another mess...the nursery is coming along but not really near being "done" and we have 3 weeks to go if he makes it to 40 weeks...EEK!!
  • That's a lot of stuff to deal even when not pregnant. My biggest complaint about DH is that I think he is in denial that I could pop soon. He told a buddy of his "we still have another month if we are lucky." Ummmmm, I better not be pregnant for another month. I have 2.5 weeks til due date and getting very close to my discomfort threshold. Thanks DH.......
