  I take prescription because they are free at the pharmacy. I'm not sure if there is a difference.

  I've been thinking this same thing.  I was told OTC were fine, but then went to OB and he gave me samples of Rx.  I hope OTC is fine because I'm going to keep taking them.

  I buy mine from trader joe's. They have the same units of vitamins the prescription ones had.... So I opted to just take those.

  I take Prenate Minis- had free samples to last me up until last month, and then a 3 month supply cost me about $50 with a coupon.

   Clomid w/IUI cycle #1& 2=BFN

  Gonal-f w/ IUI cycle #3: 150 IU/day, IUI 12/16=BFP! Beta#1=175 on 12/30, beta#2=950 on 1/3, beta #3=9035 on 1/9; first U/S 1/17 showed one beautiful heartbeat @ 114,  second U/S on 1/24 hr=156 and everything perfect!

  I take OTC ones that have DHA in them...these.  I get them on Amazon because the price is better than anywhere else I've found.

  I was offered a prescription for Prenaplus at my pre-conception appointment and went for them because I can use FSA money for them and I don't think I can use FSA money for OTC vitamins.  I've never had a problem with them, so three years later I am still on them.  They also ended up being cheap (under $5/month), at least under my prescription plan.  I've read here that some or all prescriptions have higher levels of some vitamins/minerals (e.g. folate) than some OTC vitamins, but I think in most cases it really doesn't matter.

  I take OTC because I bought them when still TTC. My insurance actually has a program that once you are pregnant they will cover all prenatals free of charge. I haven't used it yet because when I bought the OTC ones I bought a big bottle of over 200.
  

  Me 29 DH 30 Unexplained IF TTC since wedding May 2012. IUI #1 11/5/13-BFN.  IUI #2 12/5/13-BFN. IUI #3-12/30/14. All three with Femara CD 3-7 and Ovidrel trigger. +HPT 1/13/14 First +ever!!!   I use the prescription ones.  Our insurance covers then 100%.  Plus they have extra iron in them...

  I take the same ones although I may end up switching to gummies if/when nausea sets in. I also take vit.c a probiotic and CoQ10.

  Dh:34, no issues.  Me:31, Endo, slightly hypothyroid, deformed ovary, paracentric inversion.
  4 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone +TI cycles= all BFN
  Lap in 2012 to remove large unresolving cyst discovered endo and double lobed ovary.
   6 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone IUI cycles= All BFN,
  1st IVF w/ICSI- June '13 Antagonist: Gonal-F, Menopur, Ganirelix, HcG, Estradiol, Crinone= 7 retrieved, 4 mature, 1 unfertilized, 2 abnormally fertilized, 1 normally fertilized.  2DT of only embryo and our miracle BFP.
  Our beloved baby boy was born sleeping Oct. 13, 2013 due to pROM/IC/Uterine infection.
  2nd IVF w/ICSI- Feb. '14 EPP/lupron/antagonist: Estrace, lupron, HGH, Gonal-F, Menopur, HcG, PIO, lovenox, doxy/dex.=21 retrieved, 16 mature, 15 fertilized!!  5dt of 1 blast/ 6 frozen.   At my last appt my RE gave me samples of some RX ones and told me to see which one I tolerated the best. Up until then I have been taking OTC.

   TTC since November, 2011

  DH's SA : Excellent

  Lap and Hysteroscopy June 2012

  DX: PCOS, Stage III Endo, slight Adenomyosis, blocked tube, and probable LPD

  Treatments:  6 Months Lupron Depot injections; 1500 mg metformin; 3 cycles of Clomid + TI = BFN

  3 endometrial biopsies all were "out of phase" 

  September - December, 2013:  Break to lose weight and get healthy

  40 lb weight loss but still not ovulating "in phase"  

  February - March 2014: bcps + follistim + trigger + TI = BFP

   Beta #1 (12dpo): 30; Beta #2 (18dpo): 500; Beta #3 (25dpo): 7,000!!! 

  1st u/s 4/16: One beautiful hb at 144 bmp 

  2nd u/s 4/29: hb at 166 bmp.  Graduated from RE!!

  I was taking OTC, until week 8. I mentioned to the nurse that I'm constipated all.of.the.time. She gave me a sample of CitraNatal (prenatal + stool softener) to try and they worked! When I went back I asked for a script because they did the trick.

  I was taking OTC prenatals with an extra folic acid supplement, then last month OB suggested I take one with DHA. She gave me a month sample of citraNatal assure and Ive been liking it so I'm going to ask for an Rx at my appt. Idk how much my insurance copay will be but I wont mind, ill just stick with them for the remainder of my pregnancy then go back to using up my otc ones

  I take Vitafol One, it's a Rx.  Vitamins in general make me nauseous, so I was taking the gummies, but during first tri the thought of chewing and swallowing them made me gag, so I've been taking the Rx ones ever since and I've liked them so I've stuck with them.  I'm not sure if there's a difference or not, but obviously the Rx ones don't make stomachs sensitive to vitamins sick.

  I do the Rainbow light ones for now - they were highly recommended by a few friends and they have the "mini tablet" option, where the pills are smaller but you take 3 instead of 2. I'm horrible at taking pills, so this worked out great.

  I take Vitafol (rx). The RE put me on them when TTC and we never switched.

  Me: 33 - PCOS & Hypothyroidism DH: 35 - SA is good Married since 2010 (together since 2006) TTC since June 2009 (we knew we would have issues and wanted family right away after we got married). No pregnancies yet. May 2013 - started first round of Chlomid & ovidrel cycle.

  Good question.  I take Target brand prenatal vitamins and have been taking them since before I conceived.  I didn't realize that they have prescription pre-natal vitamins...
