slight head cold 2nd trimester

Hey ladies!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! i am currently trying to get rid of a stupid head cold but there is not really much that i can find for colds. Just wondering what kinds of at home remedies you have tried. I am currently drinking some tea with eucalyptus in it and i dropped a lozenge in there too. I've tried to put my head over steam with a towel, any other ideas to help?

Sit in your bathroom and let the shower run on hot. Put a towel at the bottom of the door and just sit in there and breath deep. If you have Vicks vapor rub put some on the bottom of your feet and put on socks. After about 20 min. Go directly outside and breath in deep (it's best to do this when the air outside is cooler)

This will help open you up and let the cold run it's course faster.

I came down with a bad cold in my 2nd trimester, too, and it lingered forever. I had some relief from a humidifier, saline spray, and nasal strips. My doctor told me I could take medicine that contains no decongestants. Tea and honey helped my throat. Unfortunately, after 3 weeks of being completely plugged, not sleeping and blowing out blood from my nose (sorry tmi), I was put on antibiotics. It helped instantly. Hope you can find relief!

I second the vapor rub! That saved me along with those breathing strips you can get for your nose. Other than that I really just drank a lot of water and tea and let my awful cold run its course. It lasted about 2 weeks from start to finish. Hang in there and feel better!
