Well I never imagined myself having to post in this forum, like most people here I'm sure. I went to my ob/gyn to discuss family planning, and she recommended blood work to assess my hormone levels. I had the test done on day 2 of menstruation, and received the results on Friday. My LH level was .1 and my FSH was .9. I haven't even had the opportunity to discuss the results with my doctor yet. The office lady said they just want me to repeat the results next month. This levels seem insanely low. Anyone else here have this problem? And if so, what treatments were successful for you? I am thinking I need to see a reproductive endocrinologist sooner rather than later at this point. Any advice and encouragement would be appreciated. Thanks!
Re: New to TTT
I'm sorry I have no knowledge or experience related to your #s yet (scheduled to text next month). I just wanted to say I'm sorry you do have to come here, and I hope you are here a short time - but welcome!
I do recommend working with an RE, as it gives me a lot of relief knowing a specialist is working with us! Will you get an HSG to check uterus and tubes, and CD23 bloodwork to check ovulation and hormones? I only ask in case you are anxious not to spend an extra cycle testing. Good luck!
If you are under 35 and have been trying for a year or are over 35 and have been trying for 6 months, I definitely recommend seeing a reproductive endocrinologist!! Don't waste your time with an OB. If you haven't been trying for that amount of time, you may not have any issues. It can take up to a year for a couple to conceive. But if you aren't having periods, I would definitely see your OB.
I'm sorry you are here but welcome and good luck!
