  I think they are boarderline cheese.

  That being said my dad has one.  It's an homage to his favorite baseball palyer, like EVAR.

  Years ago, my friend James had one on his Mercedes that said "TOMSBMW." When people would point out that it wasn't a BMW, he'd say 'Well, I'm not Tom." This was very funny to us in our twenties.

  Typically gag. The optometrist one "I DOC" is pretty funny. The "TOMSBMW" one is pretty funny too. Anything that's "sweet" or "mushy" or whatever makes me gaggy.

  I had a custom plate when I lived in FL.
  It read PWNYD
  ..I'm sure 99% of people had no idea what it meant. I imagine you have to know a bit about Mustangs and also be a gamer to get it. I dunno, what are your thoughts? You can be mean if you want-- I don't have a custom tag anymore cause they murder you with tag fees here in GA...

  Kind of. The gamer word is "pwnd", it is pretty much nothing but a modification of the word owned...
  The other half is that my Mustang is a Pony Edition, which I don't expect the majority of people to know.... It was kind of just for me
