High bp nausea back pain

Hi ladies, I am 18 weeks I had pre-e with my first pregnancy c section at 27wks 5days. I have had high blood pressure since then. I'm on methyldopa and Labetalol now. All this week my bp has been high and uncontrollable. I went to the hospital today bc it was high it came down and blood work looked good. But I got home and a few hours later it was up again. Everytime I lay down I have this awful pain across my back like where my bra strap is and I can't sleep. Tonight is the worst night so far of this. Also I feel very nauseas both when my bp goes up and when my back starts to hurt. I don't know if any of it is related. But anyone else had this? Or have any relief ideas for my back? Thanks in advance.

  • I agree with what @toriisalemon said. I had a liver problem in my first pregnancy and nausea, high bp, and pain/discomfort were the main signs. I would take your symptoms seriously!

  • Thank you for the replies. I went to the dr today she said as of now it is not pre-e it is just chronic hypertension that is uncontrolled. They did blood work on Saturday to check my liver but since my back is still hurting she did it again today to double check. I also did a 24hr urine waiting on results from both of those. But the urine sample and dip from today shows no proteins so that is good. It looks like the nausea dizziness and headache is all from my bp being high. She double my dose at night bc that is when I have the most issues. And I'm probably not going back to work. I'm a teacher I know to most people that doesn't sound stressful but it is a fairly stressful job and she thinks it's part of my trigger. Not to mention the serious swelling from being on my feet. I lost 3 lbs from Saturday to today just from the swelling going down.
