city mini or city mini GT?

I already own a single city mini and LOVE IT! I am going to buy the double, but wondering if I should go for the GT instead. Money is not an issue, just want to be happy with it. I like the fact that it has the bigger wheels and the hand break, but dislike the fact that the GT is a little heavier. Opinions please, TIA!

  • I would do the GT.  The wheels make a difference when you add in the weight of the second kid.  The adjustable handlebar is also really nice and the price difference is small.

  • I had this same internal debate when choosing the single City Mini vs GT. I ultimately ended up getting the GT because of the better wheels. I figured I'll spend way more time pushing it then I will lifting it.

  • If money is no issue, go with the GT.  Better wheels and hand brake are nice features.

If possible, try testing them both in the store, both pushing them and folding and lifting them. In my opinion, you will probably get used to the heavier GT and love the smoother ride. Testing them in the store will help confirm your decision though.
