Re: Would you do a murder mystery dinner?

  • I should've voted "depends on the cost" because we're so broke right now. But I'd love to do that.

  • My mom did one when I was a kid and it sounded like fun! I would definitely do it!

Like, to host one or to to one? We are going to one next month but hosting it wouldn't be my thing, but I really don't host any parties.
    same.
  • I want to do one of these so bad!

  • Yes! My sister lost power at a Halloween party she was hosting one year. We lit candles and played one of the murder mystery games. It was really fun. I'd love to do that or even something more elaborate again.

Attend one.  I have an opportunity to do one this weekend, but I don't know if it would be worth the cost for both DH and I.

  • Well someone's got to break the ice and it might as well be me. I mean I'm used to being a hostess, it's part of my husband's work, and it's always difficult when a group of new friends meet together for the first time, so I'm perfectly prepared to start the ball rolling, I mean I have no idea what we're doing here, or what I'm doing here or what this place is about but I am determined to enjoy myself and very intrigued, and oh, my this soup's delicious isn't it?!

  • Flames, flames on the side of my face.

I get so mad when people don't get this reference.

I made DH watch Clue recently, because he couldn't remember if he had before. It never gets old.

    How much is it?

It's $35 a person, which would be $70 for both.

  • I have hosted these for Halloween before. I think they are fun and would certainly go to one.
  • We went to one just after we were married, it was super cheesy but a lot of fun.  They have one at a hotel in my town that is around $300 per couple and it is all weekend and it includes your room food and drinks.  I want to do that one so bad!

  • I have done it! We went to one in a theater that included dinner. It was super cheesy and tons of fun. Do it! $35 per person is cheap for a fun night out!

This reminds me of..... And I have and would again.

  • We attended a free one though work. It was cheesy, fun and possibly done wrong. I really think there are different outcomes and they messed up the clue binders because our table had pretty important "facts" that were not revealed.

And right now @FalconCrest‌ is a true Clue fan in my book. Mrs. Peacock foreva, ya beatniks!

  • I would totally do it for $35/person.  Sounds like fun!

  • Well, DH is totally not down, so the poll is moot. I want to do something with him.

  • The outcome fits my answer. I'd totally do it, but DH wouldn't.
  • Sign me up. I've done one in the past and would love to do the murder mystery train but it's a little far from us.

  • I did one a few years ago at a winery and it was a lot of fun!

  • We went to one at the House of Blues for my 30th bday.  It was a dinner/murder mystery.  So much fun, I would love to go to another one.

  • I said do it

De-lurking bc I did one and it was so much fun! Here in OK, there's a haunted house that hosts one several times a month. It's also a B&B so you stay in the haunted house. I was the first "murder victim". So during dinner I had to leave the table several times and "violently vomit (fake)" in the bathroom that was off the dining room, with the door open. Lol people thought I was really sick and kept shutting the door on me. Then I had to collapse dramatically and was drug off. Totally not my personality as I'm not one to draw attention. But it was hilarious. I later came back as a ghost! Haha so much fun. It was $70/ couple and I thought worth it for sure!
