I'm a bad parent...have I scarred my kid for life?

So my almost 3 year old doesn't like to brush his teeth and I always tell him that they are going to rot out of his head. In a fit of frustration I said, do you want to see pictures of people who didn't brush their teeth and now they are falling out? He said yes, I realized I shouldn't have done that but he kept pestering me so I googled "bad teeth." Oh my oh my!!!

Anyway, this morning he bugged me all morning to see the people with the bad teeth. What have I done? Ugh...

    @Sterling13 he did this morning...no protests. I am afraid now that we are going to meet someone with really bad teeth and he's going to say something bad.

    Sounds genius, really. I tell DS it's to get the sugar bugs off his teeth, but he still doesn't give a shit.

    My sis did this with her DD and it worked; now she insists on brushing. She also says sugar bugs but I had never heard this before. To me, having imaginary bugs in your mouth is worse.

    So I got home tonight and the first thing he says to me is "can I see the people with bad teeth." He is a little weirdo. He is brushing his teeth with DH and I don't hear much of a fuss...so either the pics have scared him straight or he is happier with his new Hello Kitty toothbrush than his old one.
