Any STM having a "sprinkle"?

I feel a little silly having one, but my aunts insist!! There hasn't been a family baby since DS and this LO is a GIRL, so they are eager to buy PINK!!! I asked them to please keep it small, but I hate to try & control it. They have been asking me for ideas. I gave them a couple things off pinterest. Oh my... I guess I will just sit back & let them do what they want, but I still feel a little awkward. Anyone else having a sprinkle?

My office is telling me that they plan on throwing me a little shower since this is a baby boy...

The person who would organize it (and is my office BFF) will have moved by the time it would happen and I doubt anyone else would remember to do it, so I have my doubts that it will actuallly come together...and that's okay

That's another thing... At work they throw showers for everyone. This school year they had a combined shower since we had 8 people expecting. I would hate to have a solo shower here at work for my second. I already told them that I don't want one. If they insist I just want it to be a breakfast, no gifts!!! They went OVERBOARD with DS!!

I've had a couple offers for showers/sprinkles but I have declined. We have a registry going mostly as a shopping list but I would feel funny giving that information to anyone but our mothers. We're having a girl after having a boy, so I expect we'll end up getting a lot of clothes and cute pink things anyway.

We'll be having a "meet the baby" BBQ after LO is born in lieu of a shower.

Is this your second LO? We did an open house after DS was born. It was fun, even though he was going through a growth spurt at the time and I was nursing him the ENTIRE time!! haha Oh well!

I'm having a shower. SIL wants to do one since were having a boy. I thinks its stupid to call it a sprinkle, what's smaller about it? The people you invite, or amount of food, games or no games? I get that its just suppose to be a name for the second baby shower but if you have guests food and games its a shower.

There will be A LOT less people invited. Hopefully no games!! It will be more like a family girls get together. I can see it still being a shower, just on a MUCH smaller scale... hints the name.

Sort of.

I do not like the idea of second showers or sprinkles. But, MIL is from a different country and they do things differently there. We have had a pretty bad relationship from the get-go and I didn't want this issue to become a major thing between us. She insists on thorwing something and the idea of a second shower or sprinkle makes me very uncomfortable. DH and I told her this, but she made it into an issue.

We finally agreed on a small gathering,at her home, of only a few relatives on her side and no mention of gifts or a shower on the invite.

No idea, I don't think I'll need one even if it's a girl. My sister in laws mentioned throwing a sprinkle but I have a couple people wanting to give me clothes if it is a girl. So I can't imagine I will need that much else except diapers!

. I was a mess the first few weeks after baby 1, so it may be at a bit of a later date!

Ehh I don't know. if someone throws one it'll just be a brunch or lunch or dinner. I enjoy having a reason to hang out with my friends, or no reason at all. I don't expect the hoopla I got with my daughter. We have some things that need to be bought, but we'll be purchasing it ourselves.

A friend has told me she's organizing my sprinkle. I figure it will be more of a celebration - we literally don't need a single thing - so I won't be bothering with a registry or anything.I've got about 5 friends pregnant and due in a 4 month period - so there are showers all around. Some are FTMs and some are STMs...

I don't believe I will be having one, however, my DH will have a "shower" at his job, so we did a small registry. This is our 2nd boy....not much we need.
