I'm worried. I've had leg cramps and had to go to er bc I can't walk anymore. Doc says they need to do Doppler and chest X-ray to rule out a blood clot. I'm worried about the babies even though they tell me I'll be protected and there is minimal risk

    If you are out of the first trimester you should be fine as long as they cover you up a little extra. :) I had my teeth X-rayed a few weeks ago.

    I'm 18 weeks. They say it's ok but I had always heard pregnant women and X-rays don't mix.

    From what my ob and doctor told me, as long as it isn't of the abdominal area or really early, there is minimal risk.

    I had 2 chest X-rays and a chest CT around 19 weeks and while I was concerned for my babies, basically the minimal risk of radiation is worth making sure there wasn't a bigger issue. It's nerve wracking to have to make that decision, but if momma isn't healthy then it's worse for the babies.

    FET w/donor embryos #1.2: 11/2013     ~ ET of 2 beautiful blasts on 11/27.

    I had a chest X-ray at 17 weeks to check for a blood clot as well. Blood clots are extremely dangerous to mom and babies. It's better to be safe. I read all the literature and a chest X-Ray was super low in radiation compared to other scans. Good luck with everything. I hope it's something minor!
