  Sounds like it's a cell-free fetal DNA test, much like MaterniT21, Harmony, etc.  I think a lot of us have had it.  I had MaterniT21.  It just involved a blood draw and a meeting with a genetic counselor.  One week later we got our results: normal boy chromosomes!

  Yes, ball.and.chain nailed it. I had verify with my first pregnancy and harmony with this one. It's a blood draw. One extra bonus is you can find out the sex by 12-13 weeks, as they look for sex chromosome abnormalities too, which my baby ended up having. While it's not great news, knowing is better than not knowing in my case! Otherwise it checks the big trisomies, 13,18 (fatal), 21 down syndrome, and sex chromosome differences... you can pay to check for some other super rare ones.

  I had verifi and it is a cell-free DNA test, so it is just like others have said: a meeting with a genetic counselor and a blood draw. I am 35, so mine was covered (well, sort of...we have a high out of pocket so we still paid a pretty penny), but I had to choose between the nt scan and verifi. We went with verifi because we didn't want a result in odds like 1 in 200. We liked that verifi was more definitive, but I hated that I didn't get that extra u/s. Oh and the genetic abnormality check was a bonus. It is not a result that would change anything, but it is just good to know.
