What the f was that!? I've seen everyone post about it but holy crap. I almost just passed out. One second I was picking up shoes on the floor, and the next I thought my vag region was actually being knifed with fire.

Damn ladies. I thought I knew what it was ... Until now. Now I know for sure.

Look what you did you little jerk!

Seriously. I thought I had had it, but I was clearly mistaken. Dear Lord.

@awc1986 - it's like an ice pick of fire.

  • Is it like RLP in your crotch?
  • Yeah I had my first true lightning crotch experience a few days ago. I thought I was going to die! So glad I haven't had to deal with that before now.

  • I get this most of the time when I walk. It usually gets better after I get going. I'm going to pixture a leprechaun with a knife and see if it feels better or worse
  • Lol all of the above! I yell at her "Stop it"! I'm also popping my pelvic cartilage almost daily. It usually happens when I roll over. Has anyone done that?

  • Yes- I actually hear a pop! It's when I roll over in the middle of the night to get up to go to the bathroom. I don't think anyone believes me! It doesn't really hurt but it's shocking.

Huh. When I do certain workout moves (high kicks and walking in place) I feel a grinding/popping sound in the center of my pelvis and my hip bones. Is that SPD? My OB just shrugs it off and tells me it's no big deal as long as I can avoid the moves that cause it.

  • I'm so sorry to everyone who has been experiencing this for weeks.. I experienced it for the first time today. I was sitting next to my sister and actually hit her really hard on the leg and yelled out loud. And it's struck several times since then. "The little man with a knife in your vagina" is dead on.

Yes! Doesn't hurt but feels weird right? Amazing that PG hormones can soften the pelvis that much! I've had it done by a chiro before but it nvr happened on its own before now. At least we are loosening up down there!!!

Yes, but in my case it's totally wasted bc I'm having a mandatory c-section! Lol It just figures that the pregnancy where everything looks to be lining up for a good vaginal delivery is the one for which I already have surgery scheduled. :P

  • Omg I am having this for the first time today. Never had it with my last pregnancy but this baby is breech so maybe she's kicking my cervix.

I keep shrieking when it hits and I need to get it under control because we are going to a wedding later.

  • @amroke - try not to squeal when they ask if there is any reason why the couple shouldn't be married.

  • If I had any confidence that I would be able to actually GET UP, I would have fallen to the floor.

Damn those babies and their weapons.
