Thrills - Nothing specific this week, she's a climber though so we're always turning around to find her on top of something she probably shouldn't be climbing. DH was in her room with her the other day listening to a podcast while she was playing and said he turned around and she was standing on the rocking chair pushing it back and forth with all her body weight.
Also she's like the worst at breaking teeth. She's been getting a couple new ones for about 2 weeks now...
Chills - She's so good at giving kisses and following directions. Today it was sweet she went to eat her mango with her baby doll in her arms and usually food wins so she drops her doll on the floor to eat. Today she walked her doll to the baby stroller so gently before eating. She loves her Mulan!
M runs towards the street and our deck stairs without any awareness. Her favorite place to be in the front yard is behind the car examining the license plate. She rolled over on her changing table so I would not wipe her nose, and when I tried to anyway, she slammed her head forward into the wood edge and now has a bruise on her head.
When DH goes to work, she hands him his bag, says bye, and waves.
The good... DD has been taking care of her babies now all week. She gives them drinks with her milk and feeds them crackers. It's adorable. She also learned the concept of bedtime and says Night Night and lays her head down whenever she is tired. New words this week... owl, seat.
The bad... She has get first ear infection and pink eye this week so we have to pin her down to give her eye drops, sick her nose, etc. She hates it so bad and it breaks my heart!
The good: she started actually giving kisses (she hated it before). And when she walks up and gives you a big hug. And when she says "thank you" for giving her something like her cup or a snack.
The bad: she refuses to sit in the grocery cart so I had to carry her around and grocery shop this week. My arm hurt for days.
Another thing that I love right now is that DD is starting to "mommy" her babies and stuffed animals. She has been "feeding" them her sippy cups of milk and giving them her snacks, etc. It is freaking adorable.
Thrill: We have a high-walled jacuzzi jet tub at home. We are visiting my parents for Easter weekend and they have a regular bathtub. Last night DS climbed out over the tub wall! Luckily I was right there. The boy can't pick his feet up high enough to not trip on the door jam but can lift them high enough to clear a tub wall. Go figure.
Chill: Seeing him give hugs to my mom. Aww.

thrill- she climbs EVERYTHING esp our couches....and she likes to look out the window on the one end of our couch...and then she likes to just, walk off the couch at that end...right next to the coffee table...luckily we have a huge teddy bear and minnie mouse so that she lands in a fluff, but it's still close enough to hitting the corner....oh and not to mention the fact that the day care needs to rig up the gates so that she doesn't escape....the infant room is just gated in...she tries to get out, and successfully gets out....cannot wait til she gets to the toddler room...there's a door on that room....she has no fear...tries to climb in and out of the tub, wants to go down the big kids slide...tries to walk up the stairs one foot at a time, but kind of goes down 2 feet at a time....no fear
chill- she finally said mommy!!!! it melts my heart!!! and she gives hugs and kisses to her toys (and us of course)
Thrills: Friday night DS got three accidents in like 10 minutes. First he fell off the couch which I think scared him more then hurt him. Then he was playing with the door stop thing attached to the wall, slipped while he was trying to stand up and went head first into the wall. And lastly he was trying to get one of H's golf discs from between the end table and the couch and he bonked his head right on the sharp corner of the table. That one left a mark. He screamed and cried each time. Poor little man. I think he is starting to learn that his actions have consequences.
Chills: It just hit me how big he is getting because when I say "let's change your diaper" he runs back to his room and when I say "time for nigh nigh" he goes over to H and gives him kisses and then runs back to his room and waits by his crib. Where did my little baby boy go?!?
Easter morning was fun and lazy. We were bad and skipped church. We sat around in our PJ's and let DS open his Easter basket. Then we watched cartoons and ate donuts and bananas. Then, out of the blue DS took a two hour nap which was perfect for him to get all rested before we attended two Easter celebrations and gave us just enough time to get ourselves ready without having to entertain him while doing so. It was a wonderful day!
