1. Is your LO too young for a sandbox this year?
2. If you have a deck, are you putting up some kind of gate/pen to prevent LO from falling off? (ours has 3 steps to the yard)
3. If you have a girl and use a reusable swim diaper, do you put a swimsuit over it?
Re: summer fun prep questions
2. We have three steps down from our deck and I've never used a gate. I've also never had a baby fall.
3. We usually only swim at my parents' pond, so my babies go diaperless a lot of the time and swim nakey. We do have one swimsuit in which the bottoms are an actual swim diaper, but I rarely use it because once they poop in it they then have no bottoms. One most occasions I just use a swim diaper and a rash guard shirt.
2. No deck.
3. No girl lol. We're team blue over here.
2) no deck but if we had one we'd probably use out tension gate to block off the stairs.
3) we're swim diaper and rash guard when we're casually playing and through a swimsuit over that combo when we're with others and want to look fancy. (<- good grief, I might as well wear an 'I'm a first time mom!' sign on my head with all that swim gear production!
We have a few concrete steps going to the back door. DH is going to put in a patio around. We can't really block of the stairs because then dd can't get in to pee, but she is all over him like white on rice all day long, so I'm not too worried. He won't go out unsupervised ever.
We have the apple cheeks reusable swimmie, but it's dipper light weight sand gets sand in it. This year we are going to put him in trunks and a rash guard to help for more sun protection. Swim suits are silly for babies but they are just so damn cute! I might even pick up a super girly frilly one for baby girl!
I like cookies.
We have a deck with 3 steps and will not be putting a gate up. E is pretty good at going down stairs.
Team blue here, but I will put shorts over his swim diaper. More for sun protection than anything else.
