6 week HCG levels not doubling

I am 6 weeks today. I went for a dating ultrasound last Thursday (there was confusion about if my lmp was actually a period) and would have been 5w 3d from lmp. The gestational sac measured 5 weeks but there was no yolk sac. I know it was super early and that's not uncommon but the dr mentioned the possibility of a blighted ovum. I had my hcg level tested Thursday and Saturday and they only rose 3700 (21000 to 24700). The dr seemed concerned and said the only way to be sure is another ultrasound. I've read that hcg level stop doubling every 48hrs after a certain point, has anyone had something like this happen and have it turn out ok? Just feeling very anxious and looking for positive stories!

    The higher your HCG gets, the longer it takes to double.  Your HCG is high and is rising, so that is a good sign.  Only time will tell, but I wouldn't be freaking out at this point.

    Same thing happened to me. Went for an early ultrasound at 7 weeks. We saw the baby, heart beating, and yolk sac. Just try to stay calm.
