We are expecting a new baby any day now, so we want to move our large, very comfy upholstered reclining glider out of DD's room into the new baby's room. We have been using this chair daily with DD for reading and cuddling before naps and bedtime. We don't necessarily want to spring for a new one of these ($800), since in the next year or so she'll surely be out of her crib and into a toddler bed, where we might be able to sit with her to read. At that time we'll probably get her a kid's chair since she has the space in her room. Any ideas on a cheaper solution? We checked craigslist and didn't find anything yet, and time is running out. Just curious if any of you have solved a similar issue, and if so, how...
Re: Chair for reading with toddler?
So you all read books in your bed, then walk down to LO's room and just plop them in their bed? DD is so active and curious, I was afraid that if we let her roam the house right before bed (there's a fair distance between our bedroom and hers) so might get even more amped at bedtime than usual and fight us on going back to her room for bed. I guess we'll try it and find out!
