Re: AW your kids again please

  • <face palm> DD is back to her meltdowns because of school... Gosh dang I don't know what it's going to take to get this kid to realize that her behavior is 99.9999999% of the problem if she acts at school like she does at home in spite of trying to redirect and curtail her negative behaviors. She complains that she doesn't have any friends, but you see her interact with the other kids and it's like "I totally understand why!" (she doesn't have the social sense of reading a person's "back off!!" signals) and trying to teach her this she recognizes it for 2 seconds and by the next interaction, she's back to the same behavior)... Actually the social graces aren't her strong-suit...

As for DS - he's the opposite - he reads people like it's a hobby. He's socially advanced and smarter than smart... He'll watch someone do something once and he's got it figured out for better or worse. He puts together the difficult puzzles at daycare such that the teachers recognize the challenge for him is keeping him stimulated because of his ability to figure things out that he shouldn't otherwise know for several more years...

  • Alex still loves his new sister and give her kisses all the time. So sweet.
He has become so much more outgoing, social and brave these last few weeks and his language development is just amazing. He is quite funny, too!

Julie is a sweet baby. She doesn't cry much and wants to be held and snuggled all the time. She's pretty cute, too. :-)
