Update: Blue Lips

edited April 2014 in Breastfeeding
Well I thought that my blood pressure meds were the reason for my blue lips. To come find out, I have a vitamin deficiency, which is Vitamin2. I have been hard-headed and haven't been taking my prenatal vitamins or other vitamins prescribed by my doctor. I just don't like taking a mixture of meds, so I skipped on them and thought eating certain foods would help me out. Since I've started back on my vitamins, my lips have been turning back to normal. I just feel like I'm playing tug-of-war with doing what I feel is right for my health as well as my LO while nursing.

  • I'm glad you got it sorted out.

I don't worry too much about doctor-approved vitamins and supplements. The body excretes excess in waste.

I'm glad I did too. I think I worry myself too much about nothing sometimes. I can be a pain in my own butt. LOL

  • Thank for the update! I'm glad you figured it out and it's a relatively easy thing to turn around!

  • Yes it takes a lot out of you. I was battling with dehydration for the first few months after LO was born. Doing all I can to keep it together.

  • Yeah. I do tend to forget myself quite often. My LO needs her mama to remain healthy.
