May 2014 Moms

3rd time Mom and I never experienced this....

Pubic bone pain. Excruciating, sensitive to the touch, white hot, pain. It started in my right hip and is now all across the pubic bone (I'm 37 weeks). I'm thinking LO dropped but hasn't fully engaged, so the added pressure is bruising the pubic region. But what do I know.

Doc says (with a gleeful, pain free, fake laugh) that it is all normal and fine.

But seriously. Anyone else? Maybe those 9 years in between pregnancies really are doing a number on me.

  • SPD. Had it at the end last time and have been dealing with it since like 18 weeks this time.

  • Thanks @MrsT2008‌ ! Not really sure why I didn't consider that....

    Bah! This is misery.
  • I second PP....it is SPD. It is pretty freaking terrible. I couldn't find much relief from it, sleeping with a pillow between my legs at least helped for the first part of the day. Good news is it goes away pretty much immediately after giving birth.

  • It's SPD. I started getting pain about halfway through my pregnancy and it's horrible at this point (38 weeks). My 3rd as well.

It's been rough! I have been saying that if my first pregnancy was like this it would've been my last. Crazy pain issues I had never dealt with before.

  • I had pelivic bone pain start at about 11 weeks. It has only gotten worse. My DH has to help me walk upstairs half the time, or I will have to use the banisters to crawl up. I'm sorry your doctor wasn't sympathetic, but it is normal... :((

Oh man. That sounds rough. Luckily mine held off until 36 weeks. When I roll over in my sleep, the sharp pain jolts me awake. I know it is best for baby to stay in until 39 weeks, but this discomfort has me hoping it is any day now....
