I am hosting Easter dinner tomorrow. I want to prepare as much as possible today. Anyone have a recipe for fresh green beans that I can make today and reheat tomorrow? I don't want a casserole.
I wouldn't suggests cooking green beans a day ahead. The sog-factor would turn me off. But, like PPs mentioned, sautéing is the way to go. I'd use butter, salt, pepper, fresh crushed garlic and a spritz of fresh lemon juice.
That's what I thought. I usually sauté them but I was hoping someone had a magic recipe that would require minimal effort tomorrow :-) Guess I will just sauté before the meal. Thanks, ladies!
Mix some maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and cayenne pepper. Toss the green beans in it and throw them in the oven on a baking sheet for 10 minutes. Delish!
Re: Green bean help!
But you'd want to do it tomorrow otherwise they will get soggy.
