Intro and question

Hi all. I have a beautiful 2 month old little girl named Avadelle (Ava) who was 5 weeks premature, spent 3 weeks in NICU and bottle fed for the first 5 weeks of her life. We are now nearly exclusively nursing and she has made the transition beautifully!

My question is in regards to bottle feeding. Where is the best place to do a weighed feeding? Should I try my pedi's office? Does La Leche have scales I can use? I'm going back to work in a few weeks and want to make sure she is getting the right amount in her bottles. Thanks!

ETA: paragraph breaks.

Re: Intro and question

  • Check on the medela site for rentals in your area. I rented one for $10 when my LO was small.

  • Your pediatrician should do it. Also does your hospital have a BF support group...they may have one available as well.
  • No support group at the hospital, I will look into other support groups in my area. My pedi's office is always super busy so I'd like that to be a last resort option. Thanks ladies!
