Side-eye Saturday, Holiday Edition

Early, because this is my Saturday 1 this week (followed by Saturday 2, Sunday 1, and Sunday 2).

And we have a theme!! A bit of a throwback: in your time on the bump, what are some classic side-eye worthy posts? Long-time vets will have fun with this one!

In general, I side-eye blatant fishing, and for that reason will never say, "Oooh, I bet you're pregnant!" or "That sounds like a pregnancy symptom to me!"

As for major side-eyes, I can remember 3. One was Irish Twins girl. Another was the poster who swore she was pregnant because she could FEEL the sperm and egg meet. And the last I can remember is the girl who knew nothing about her cycle and asked about the "clear period" before her regular period.

side-eye award goes to DD's biological dad.
He is just a fuckin dick. He signed his rights over because he doesn't want anything to do with DD. That's cool, my husband has been taking care of her since she was a year old. However, her dad STILL posts pics of DD on his FB, and refuses to take them down... a child that he has never had any relation with, refused to take care of, and just gave away... wtf.

Off the top of my head, I don't have a very good TB side-eye. Although the ones @annibes‌ mentioned are all pretty side-eye worthy. My general side eye goes to the overly competitive mom at our library class who is always comparing her LOs progress to mine. My kid crawls fast, she wants to make our kids race. My kid starts standing, she swears her kid will start walking in the next two weeks. Kind of annoying and pretty of noxious. All kids develop at their own pace. It's not a competition!

Serious side-eye to DH. He is sick and even though I should feel bad for him, all I want to do is punch his whiny, stupid face.

I'm relatively new to TB still but the longer I'm here the harder I side eye all the stupid. Why are women so dumb?

I side eye my mom. I told my mom about my AMH and premature ovarian failure dx and despite me telling her we have a treatment plan she said "well having one kid isn't all bad..." Yeah, that's what I hear as I start treatments. (I think this is becoming a theme, I side-eye my parents every damn week.

I'm adding a side eye. Side eye to you hubs. Basically we were supposed to go to his parents to do Easter today and he didn't communicate w them and we got there to be greeted by a nobody the effing home. Then it was my fault for not looking at the message and correcting him (you're a grown ass man- it was a message from your mom). He was cool after that, but we had no groceries and were going to go tomorrow. So we went home and dd fell asleep on me and he went to go eat and play video games and I couldn't eat. She finally woke up and he was like, let's do groceries now- we will eat there (they have all sorts of eating there, it is a magical grocery store!!!). We got there and instead of eating we start loading up cart and I just thought- ok- he wants to get that done with. We then load up car and I was like... Ok... I guess we will go back in... I put car away, he put dd in car and turned it I by time I got back. So we left and I was asking- you got me out here on the promise to finally eat today. He said he asked me when we got there if I wanted to eat or do groceries first- apparently I told him "let's just get groceries done and go home." Wtf????? Hungry woman says no. He swears that happened. Then he wouldn't stop anywhere except order a Chinese place I am sick of. So 7am til 4:30 didn't eat. And I guarantee- had that been him? Oh we would have feasted. Seriously, side eying the shit out of that.

Monday was DD birthday. We celebrated Monday. Side eye her bio-dad for not even attempting to see her on her birthday and "forfeiting" his next two Fridays because his "wife made plans." He's seen her 2 out of 6 birthdays. That's a major side eye. But then again, he did leave her & I at the hospital after giving birth to get shitfaced, with his mother, and didn't come back for nearly 24 hours. And side eye for being a nasty prick in response to the spa birthday party pics I sent to him pursuant to his request. Ass hat. Some people are alive because it's simply illegal to kill them.

Side eye to a "friend" who, had a heart breaking miscarriage but then ran straight to an RE. She got someone's cancelled appt and initial testing. Found out she was pregnant and said "hmm, I have no clue how far along I am since we haven't even had sex in over two months". Then get this...had the nerve to say "I'm really stressed about this, I feel like one of those girls who didn't realize they were like 6 months pregnant. I had imagined the easy and relaxing route of IUI". Huh? She has a dating ultrasound next week so it'll be interesting.
