Finally feeling OK to intro

I've already been posting, but I realize that I never introduced myself. Mostly because I was afraid I wouldn't get to stick around. My last 2 pregnancies have been early losses. But on Thursday we had our first ultrasound at 6w5d and saw a strong heartbeat and baby growing right on track. So I'm still here, and feeling optiminstic!
A bit about me: I'm 34 and will be 35 by the time LO arrives. DH and I have been married 6 years. We have one DS, who will be 3 in July, and a rescued hound dog mutt. My pregnancy with DS was easy and uneventful, so I was not at all prepared for the rollercoaster of TTC #2. I went off BCP in September '13 and got a BFP in November. Sadly, that ended in an early loss. Got pregnant again the very next cycle, only to lose that one even earlier. Took a break for a couple of months to have some testing done. All came back clear, so we waded back into TTC mode. This is BFP #4 and already feels different from the last two. Hoping to settle in and stick around for the whole 9.
I work part-time as a government attorney and "on the side" I'm a novelist-- though that part is beginning to demand more and more of my time, so I may end up shifting to just writing after this baby arrives. My first book just came out in late March--the same week I got my BFP. Couldn't have been a happier week!
