weaning 14 month old?

Hi mamas..I'm not sure anyone can help but I am wondering...does anyone have experience weaning a 14 month old (1 yr old)...I am pregnant again (11 wks) and I want to wean my 1 yr old..I am very sick all day long, can't keep a lot down or eat much...she doesn't nurse for a long time but enough to drain me or just make me feel "ick" with the weight of her on me or just like..I'm too tired anymore to keep nursing her. I feel REALLY guilty because she does ask for it a lot still and we do it before naps and bedtime but she goes down awake. Anyway.......anyone done this? I just would love stories of other mom's who've done this! How'd you do it!? I'm nervous.....

    I was in the same situation. What worked for me is don't offer/dont refuse and lots of distraction. We also spent a lot time out of the house for a week or so. She seemed to ask less when we were on the go. And to speed the process I took sudafed to dry my supply up. You can take it once you're out of first tri. Good luck.
