Hi! I've finally decided to post an intro after lurking for quite a while!! My husband and I have an amazing 2 year old daughter that is everything we could have ever hoped for! My husband has always been set on having only one child since the beginning. I always thought I'd have two kids, but after DD was born I felt like she was enough for us! We were pretty much set on one and done and happy with our decision. Well, about a month ago, out of the blue DH decided to say, "ya know, sometimes I think DD needs a sibling..." I was shocked! As of right now, we are technically fence sitters....leaning to the one and done still! There are parts of me that want another...I loved being pregnant the first time, newborn stage wasn't my favorite but still fun, I want to give DD a chance to have a best friend in a sibling like I have in my sister (obviously that's definitely not guaranteed)! Financially and emotionally, we could afford another child....but I want to take DD to Disney and family vacations, save for college, etc. As I've read on here a lot, I too agree that having another to just give DD a sibling is not a good enough reason! Honestly, I get really anxious thinking about having another....not sure how I could ever split my time evenly and love another kid as much I love her!! Wow...that got really long! Guess I had a lot on my mind! Anyway, you ladies seem so nice and super fun! I hope to join in when I can!
