So I filled their Easter baskets...

...last night, and was all proud of myself for being one step ahead and having one less thing to do this weekend. Took me forever to arrange the stuff in them how I wanted it and make it all fit. Then as I'm falling asleep it occurs to me that they (well, at least DS) will want to leave out empty baskets for the bunny just like I said we'd do - duh! What was I thinking filling them ahead of time?

I really don't want to do it over again, I think I'm going to distract from leaving empty baskets out the night before. Maybe I'll tell him the bunny must have come and taken them early so he could fill them.

  • Tell them you put them in a closet, go look in that closet and they can already be gone! Bunny must have sneaked in and taken them to get a head start.

  • Yep @KateMW that's exactly what I'm gonna do!

  • Well, this is embarrassing. I've never left a basket out empty. And my parents never did.  Is this something that I missed out on as a child?
Nah, it's not like a "must do" thing, just what I did as a kid and what we've done the last few years.
