My list of things that need purchased or replaced for #2 seems awfully short.. Clothes, another monitor, probably some bottles/binks, replace need parts for my pump, probably a few more cloth diapers - what else am I missing?
not much unless it's a boy, then I guess boy clothes. just the stuff I borrowed from my gf last time around since she is pregnant too! Bottle warmer, bouncer, maybe one of those activity bouncer jumper things.
What I really need is someplace to store all of the stuff that's in the spare room that will become DD's new room!!
I will need a newborn stash of CD's since we didn't start until 4 months with our daughter. Parts for my pump a wrap, a new crib mattress because ours got a big hole in it, mobile, and we will trade/sell our daughters old clothes for boy clothes if we have a boy.
I have actually started a list to make sure I don't miss anything but it's not very long since I kept pretty much everything from DS...
Bottle nipples, binkies, a new bed/crib/mattress for DS, a pumping bra, new tubing/membranes for pump, a swing, a bouncer, and an ergo carrier. I have a moby wrap but never got really good at it and I'd prefer something a little bit more simple for when we go out.

I guess I'm kind of a different case since I'm having twins, but we definitely need another infant seat and 2 bases, I want a City Mini Double, we already bought another crib (we had an extra already), we will definitely need more clothes, bottles, nipples, etc. I'm also cloth diapering these two so I have already started to build a stash.

We had a house fire a year ago so we lost a few things. Some we already replaced thar DD had to have. I need an infant carrier carseat (it was in the living room) and we lost DDs 0-6 month clothes so if it is a girl we will need those sizes.
Otherwise: boy clothes if it is a boy, burp cloths, bottle, breastpump, pacis, and I would like a swing or bouncy seat.
We actually had a house fire as well, and lost a lot of DS' newborn/infant things. We need a new infant car seat with 2 bases, newborn cloth diapers, a new monitor, bottles, pump parts, activity mat and jumper. We'll need 0-6 month clothes too, regardless of the sex. Not too bad of a list.
Not much, honestly, there's a couple of things that I will probably replace. And like most people boy clothes if this kid is a boy. Also, newborn clothes, if this kid is a girl and this kid is a bit of a different season!
Boy clothes if a boy, second video monitor, all the furniture for the nursery, another carrier I have an Ergo but want one that is more infant friendly for early on, we will use DDs infant seat but we need a convertible seat for later.
I see a lot of people have bottles and nipples on there. Did you not save yours or is there another reason to get new ones?
Another high chair since DD will probably still be in hers, clothes if it's a boy, 3-6 month clothes if it's a girl (DDs were summer clothes), a few more newborn cloth diapers, breast milk storage bags, a convertible car seat later on, maybe a double stroller - still haven't decided so I think I'll wait until this LO is here to see if it seems like it'd be helpful, and I'll make a quilt for this LO like I did for DD.

If I need to feed out of a bottle we will probably need new nipples. Just because we live in AZ and they have been stored in the garage (for lack of inside space) and wouldn't be usable or safe for baby.
Great post! Here's my list... Belly book/journal, clothes, infant car seat, bottles (I am switching to glass!) pacifiers, crib mattress (DS now uses his in his toddler bed) diaper pail (germ freak and tossed the old one), dresser, decor, MAYBES: blankets, swaddles, diaper bag, double stroller. I also really want the mamaroo!
My list is short and similar to PP's: Car seat (ours expires in December) New Bottles (got rid of all of ours) New Soothers (pacifiers) New nursing pillow Receiving blankets
I'm lucky enough to have a girl and a boy, so we're good on clothes. Our big expense will be bunk beds for DS and DD to share a room.
Our house was burglarized so we lost a lot of baby things this summer. I think we can get away with a carseat as the only major baby expense. I picked up a double stroller for cheap already, managed to salvage the swing, and we have a PNP. We didn't keep any bottles or nipples, so I'll need those. My breast pump is a rental covered by insurance (my last pump was stolen out of my car!).
Obviously I'll need clothes for a girl, but not until 3m because I only bought gender neutral in the beginning, and I still have them. I would like a bouncer and a glider, but those are nice-to-haves and not a must.
We need a new bottle warmer and another camera for the monitor. I'm hoping I can get by without a double stroller but we will see. We also need to set up a big boy room so the baby can use the baby furniture.
Sit and stand stroller, a new swing/glider since DS's was borrowed, bottles, clothes since we didn't think there's be a #2, bedding, changing pad, maybe a new car seat as someone borrowed ours and keeps popping out babies:)
I was thinking about this today. I went to BBRU and I want to register(because I think it's fun and then I will buy everything on it. LOL) but there were about 2 things I would register for.
For boy:
New Pack N Play. There is a new completely washable one that I want!
Tummy time roll thing
We have so many clothes that DS only wore once or not at all. It was my goal to have him wear everything once, but he grew so fast!
Generally need: nursery furniture, crib and mattress (DD's crib converts to toddler and full size bed), more pacis, more bottles/nipples, double stroller, baby carrier (since I never got into it with my daughter, but probably should now), another white noise machine, formula maker (because I WANT IT!!!).
What we really need is a new car seat since ours expired in May. Also, our monitor is pretty outdated, so hopefully I can update that. Little things we will need are bottles, pacis, and burp cloths.
